Alabama vs LSU CBB Picks
This has been a disappointing season for Alabama basketball – no doubt about it.

This has been a disappointing season for Alabama basketball – no doubt about it.
Both of these teams are into the tournament so this is just a game to determine seeding and to answer which team has the better group of guards. Memphis may have the Huskies in terms of depth but on talent you might want to go with Connecticut.
The Mountaineers are looking to ruin the season for league champ Robert Morris. MSM finished tied for 4th in the league but because they were not very strong in the non-conference part of their schedule they do not even have a winning record at the moment.
The Spurs are healthy and in fine form right now. They are on a 6 game winning streak that included a home domination of Miami – it seems like they might have been spurred by Houston nipping at their heels.
The Tigers have been playoff regulars of late, last year losing a series to the eventual champion Red Sox that definitely left a bad taste in their mouth.
Everything has played to form in the WCC tournament with all of the top 4 seeds advancing to the semi-finals.
So many leagues try and set up these dramatic final regular season games and it falls flat. That is not the case for the Mountain West this season as these teams are tied for first place in the league with identical 15-2 records.
The Hoosiers might have had a chance to sneak into the tournament but that home loss to Nebraska probably sealed their fate in that regard.
For just the second time all season long the Pacers have lost two in row. I wasn’t completely shocked that they lost to Golden State, even though it was as home, but I was very surprised that they did not rebound and beat Charlotte on the road – they lost by 22 and gave up a ton of points.
The Heat had their 8 game winning streak halted on Tuesday at Houston. Things do not get much easier Thursday night as they will visit San Antonio in a rematch of last year’s Finals.
The offseason has been dominated by the Atlanta Braves as they locked up every one of their young prospects, except the bat boy, to long term contracts.
The Red Raiders are near the bottom of the Big 12 standings. They have lost their last 5 games but they have had some surprising wins this season including beating Oklahoma State at home and Oklahoma on the road.
The Warriors survived a furious 4th quarter comeback to get a victory at Indiana last night. Beating the Pacers on the road is quite the feat and a tremendous bounceback for a team that outplayed by the Toronto Raptors the game before.
The Cyclones are looking to bounce back on the road against a very hungry Bears team on Tuesday night. Iowa State is on the tournament for sure but games like these can really improve their seeding and they are looking to finish strong.
Usually Eastern road trips are a breeze for teams from the West but Golden State has already dropped 2 of 4 games and with Indiana up next their chances of having a winning trip are slim.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish (15-15) vs North Carolina Tar Heels (22-7)
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish started the season as a sleeper in the ACC but other than beating Duke in their very first ACC game not much has gone right. They were supposed to have one of the best guard combos in the league but with one of their lead dogs no longer even on the team the burden has fallen to PG Eric Adkins.
