ATS Matchup Insight | CP Insider Gambling Preview

These two teams met in January with Miami getting a pretty easy victory in a well played game where both teams shot 50% or better.

I expect another good game but perhaps a bit more ragged.

LeBron James followed up his monster effort on Monday night with a workmanlike performance against the Rockets in the loss. Chris Bosh was a complete non-factor against Houston but it was encouraging to see Michael Beasley lead the team with 24 points off the bench.

If they can get more regular contributions from him it is may be hard to stop this team from winning another championship.

Miami has been solid on the road this season with a 16-13-1 ATS record after covering 4 straight before losing to Houston. This team is rarely an underdog so when they are they are always a great value as LeBron can dominate in a way that very few players in the league can.

San Antonio

The Spurs are finally getting healthy and they had no trouble dispensing Cleveland on the road to start the week. They are on a 4 game winning streak and it was a great sign that the leading scorers against the Cavs were playoff wunderkind Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard.

This team is finally starting to look like the team that pushed the Heat in last year’s Finals.

San Antonio should be well rested for this one.

The win over Cleveland was so light that no one on the roster played even as many as 30 minutes in the victory. In their loss to Miami earlier in the season neither Green nor Leonard saw any action.

Their presence and outside shooting should give them more than the combination of Corey Joseph and Marco Bellinelli who are better suited to reserve roles.

While the Heat are great value as the underdog you also can not ignore that there is excellent value on the home Spurs. The team is whole again and they are seldom an favourite by just a single possession.

They should be motivated by the Heat coming to town to.
