The Pistons are on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs in the Eastern Conference standings at 20-32 on the year, but they have shown some signs of life lately with a 3-2 record both straight-up and against the spread in their last five games.

Detroit is 10-15 SU on the road this season and it has failed to cover in four of its last five road games.
Brandon Jennings leads the team in scoring with 15.4 points per game, but the Pistons ate ranked 24th in the league in scoring with 98.3 PPG.
Charlotte is holding down the seventh spot in the East at 22-29 on the year.

It followed-up a stunning 89-81 loss to Philadelphia this past Sunday as an eight-point road favorite with a tough 103-102 loss to Indiana at home as two-point underdogs. The Hornets have a SU losing record at home this season at 13-14 but they are 4-2 ATS in their last six home games.
Kemba Walker was nowhere to be found in the fourth quarter of that loss to the Pacers, but I am looking for a much better effort across all four quarters this Tuesday night to help get his team a much needed win at home that covers the two-point spread.

Sacramento is a team that has gotten used to losing this season with a SU record of 18-32, but it is coming off a huge 85-83 victory against Phoenix this past Sunday as a 7.5-point home underdog.
It was just the Kings second SU win in their last 13 games and they have gone 2-7 ATS in their last nine outings.
[dfads params=’groups=63741&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]
They will now have to go back on the road where they are 7-15 SU this season with a 10-11-1 record ATS.
The Bulls are coming off back-to-back road wins against New Orleans and Orlando to improve to 32-20 SU on the year.
However, after failing to cover as 6.5-point favorites against the Magic they are a costly 23-29 ATS. They have been an even tougher bet at home with an 8-16 record ATS in 24 previous games. Despite these shaky betting trends, Chicago should have a significant edge in Tuesday’s matchup behind an offense that is averaging 101.9 PPG.
The Bulls should also have the edge under the boards with an average of 45.8 rebounds that is ranked third in the NBA.
The betting odds are still “off the board” due to injury concerns with both teams, but look for Chicago to return the Kings to their losing ways in a game that the Bulls should cover all the way up to a double-digit spread at home.

The NFL Playoffs are down to the final four teams heading into this Sunday’s conference championships, so it stands to reason that this week’s two-team NFL parlay for Capper’s Picks will cover both NFC and AFC title games.
The quest to get to Super Bowl XLIX is in full swing heading into this weekend’s Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. The betting odds in all four matchups lean heavily towards the favorites at home and total lines offer some solid value in a few of the games.
The 2014 NFL regular season is in the books as 20 teams are now officially on the clock for next year’s college draft. The other 12 teams will press-on in their quest for a Super Bowl title starting with this weekend’s Wild Card Round of playoff games.
Just like some NFL teams that appear to be hitting their stride at the right time of the year, I am heading into the final week of the regular season with a pocket full of cash after going with both Pittsburgh and Green Bay in last week’s NFL two-team parlay play.
The NFL regular season continues to wind down, but the battle for the remaining eight spots for this year’s playoffs remains in full gear. This weekend’s games should go a long way towards filling-in a few of the missing pieces with the rest of the postseason puzzle coming together in the final week of the year.
This past season, NASCAR completely revamped the rules for the Sprint Cup series 10-race Chase to the title and the result was some of the most exciting racing in the history of the sport.
The race to the NFL playoffs rages on and while we have an idea of which teams should make it into the field of 12, we still have no idea how things will actually pan out heading in to Week 15. With so many crucial divisional games on the slate, I have focused my attention on two key matchups that have the best chance to pay off.
Thanksgiving traditionally marks the start of the stretch run to the NFL playoffs. Wins and losses from here on in will have a direct impact on the actual 12-team field that makes it into the post season and ending up on the right side of these games will have a direct impact on your overall betting bankroll.
Straight-up victories are like gold to any NFL team that is contending for a spot in this year’s playoffs, but the trick is to wager on the ones that know how to cover against the spread.
