The race to the NFL playoffs rages on and while we have an idea of which teams should make it into the field of 12, we still have no idea how things will actually pan out heading in to Week 15. NFC North divisional battle to start the season for both of these clubs with different sets of expectations based on last year’s performance.

Minnesota Vikings (1-0) vs. Detroit Lions (0-1)
Sunday, September 20 th
Ford Field, Detroit — 1:00pm EST
NFL Betting Line: Minnesota -10 (46.5)
The Lions are winless in 2009 so far, and that fact will hold true after Week 2 is in the bag. After allowing Drew Brees to throw for six touchdowns, the Lions are inviting Brett Favre to Ford Field to try and do the same. To make matters worse, the Vikings present a much more dynamic attack, boasting the league’s leading MVP candidate, Adrian Peterson.
The Detroit Lions (0-12 SU, 4-8 ATS, 8-3-1 O/U) look like they would have trouble beating one of the nation’s top collegiate teams at this point of their winless season. The Minnesota Vikings (7-5 SU, 5-7 ATS, 8-4 O/U) are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive in a hotly-contested NFC North.
