NFL Week 16 Free Football Parlay Picks

NFL Week 16 Free NFL Parlay Picks

The NFL regular season continues to wind down, but the battle for the remaining eight spots for this year’s playoffs remains in full gear. This weekend’s games should go a long way towards filling-in a few of the missing pieces with the rest of the postseason puzzle coming together in the final week of the year.

After digging into all the matches on Sunday’s slate, I have unearthed my top two picks for this week’s NFL two-team parlay based on betting odds by 5Dimes.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pointspread: Pittsburgh -3
Total Line: 46.5
Matchup | Preview

The Chiefs snapped a three-game losing streak both straight-up and against the spread with last Sunday’s 31-13 victory over Oakland as 11-point home favorites, but it will be a tall task to keep from falling back into their losing ways on the road against Pittsburgh.

There is no doubt that Kansas City’s defense is one of the best in the league, but on offense this team has really struggled to score points on the road in its last few outings.

The Chiefs are ranked 14th in the league in scoring with 23 points a game, but this number drops to 18.2 points in their last five road games.

Pittsburgh has been an up and down team all season long, but in the midst of a brutal division title race in which it trails Cincinnati by half a game, it could be peaking at just the right time with a SU 3-1 record in its last four games.

The offense is picking-up steam with an average of 32 points a game during this run. In the Steelers last four home games this scoring average actually climbs to 39 points so it is hard to see Kansas City keeping pace even if its defense plays lights out on the road.

Give the three points and take Pittsburgh at home to get the job done.

Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Pointspread: Green Bay -11.5
Total Line: 48.5
Matchup | Preview

Green Bay appeared to be unstoppable heading into last Sunday’s game in Buffalo as a 4.5-point road favorite, but this offensive juggernaut led by MVP front-runner Aaron Rodgers blew a fuse in a stunning 21-13 loss. It is hard to believe that this was anything more than just a bad day against a fired-up team on the road.

Rodgers turned-in one of his worst performances in years. This leads me to believe that he will be highly motivated to quickly right the ship against a Tampa Bay defense that is ranked 24th in the league against the pass this year.

Looking back at some of the recent betting trends in this series, you might be tempted to jump on Tampa Bay and the points considering it is 7-1 SU in its last eight home games against the Packers and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings on its home field.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Keep in mind that many of those games go way back into the archives when both teams were in the same division. I am staying in the present in this one and banking on the entire Green Bay team returning to form this Sunday.

Lay the 11.5 points on the road favorite as the Pack bounces back in a big way.
