The 2013-14 NCAA basketball season has brought us to championship week, and with the Mountain West Conference putting together one good game after another, we’ve finally got the New Mexico Lobos and the San Diego State Aztecs ready to face off in the title game.
The Aztecs have not lost since the second game of the season to Arizona. That means they have rattled off 20 wins in a row and with victories over Creighton, Kansas and other they have certainly earned their lofty standing.
SDSU has won 10 straight home games and they are riding a 3-game winning streak. They will have a test tonight facing a ranked UNLV team that has a solid offense ranking 28th in the nation in scoring and 3rd in rebounds per game.
SDSU had won their last 6 games before falling to New Mexico in the Mountain West Conference finals and this season they were 3-1 facing ranked teams.
The Air Force Falcons (3-2 SU, 3-1 ATS), smarting from a tough loss to Navy, will regroup and go at it against the San Diego State Aztecs (1-4 SU, 2-2 ATS) in NCAA college football action in the Mountain West that is scheduled to get underway at 9:30 PM ET at Qualcomm Stadium (natural turf) in San Diego.
