Minnesota is still trying to remember the time, not that long ago, when they were the darlings of the Western Conference. With point guard Ricky Rubio deftly dishing the ball they were firmly in the playoff picture.
The New Orleans Hornets knew this season would be a write off as soon as they decided to jettison point guard Chris Paul.
Minnesota actually got above .500 for a brief time a few days ago, but the Timberwolves have lost three straight since.
