NFL Week 11 “Insider Betting”
Welcome to week 11 NFL fans. Hopefully I can get back on track this week after a pretty poor showing of 2-3 in this feature a week ago (who knew the Jets would beat the Steelers?)
Welcome to week 11 NFL fans. Hopefully I can get back on track this week after a pretty poor showing of 2-3 in this feature a week ago (who knew the Jets would beat the Steelers?)
I can’t believe that headline, it’s already week 10 of the NFL season, where has the time gone? We have reached the point where the playoff picture is starting to get a little bit clearer for some teams and there should be a (at least foggy) view of the teams that are contenders and those who aren’t.
Eagles and Redskins Renew Storied Rivalry
The NFL East promises to be one of the more competitive divisions in football once again this year and Week 1 provides a marquee matchup on the Week 1 schedule.
Typically the Monday night game is a sweet one, but not so much this week with the Steelers (5-3) taking on the Chiefs (1-7) the Steelers have won 3 straight games to get back in the playoff picture while the Chiefs have lost 5 in a row and are struggling on both sides of the ball.
Headline: Top Defenses Clash in Battle of 7-1 Teams – Texans Visit Bears Sunday Night
In what is the most anticipated game on the Week 10 schedule the Houston Texans head to Soldier Field to take on the Bears with second place in the NFL on the line. Both teams have been very impressive on both sides of the ball thus far and both will be looking to prove why they are serious contenders for the Super Bowl during their nationally televised showdown.
The Giants (6-3) are coming off a loss and they have not looked good in their last games with a struggling Eli Manning and not much of a rushing offense.
The Titans (3-5) are coming off an embarrassing home loss where they gave up 51 points and afterwards the team was called out by their owner. They have lost 3 straight games in Miami to the Dolphins, who are at 4-4 and are still in the heart of the AFC East race.
A couple of weeks back it looked as if the Vikings (5-3) would be a surprise playoff contender while the Lions (4-4) were down and out, but Detroit has won 2 straight while Minnesota has lost 2 straight.
Headline: Jets In Seattle to Face the Home Demons Seattle in Week 10
The New York Jets fresh off a much needed bye make the cross country flight this week to face the Seattle Seahawks in one of the toughest buildings to visit in the NFL. The Seahawks are a perfect 4-0 at CenturyLink Field so far this year and look unstoppable at times in their own building. .
Headline: 49ers Look to Flex NFC West Muscle Versus Improving Rams
The San Francisco 49ers, fresh off a bye will attempt to create a little more space between themselves and the other improving NFC West teams Sunday when they host the Jeff Fisher coached Rams, a team that is improving but appears to still be a year or two away from really competing at the highest level.
Headline: Surprisingly Unflattering Defenses Collide – Raiders vs. Ravens in Week 10
The Oakland Raiders head out on the road this Sunday looking to make up a little ground in the AFC Wild Card picture. Their task this week is to tackle what has looked to be a surprisingly beatable Baltimore team whose defense will be missing Ray Lewis yet again.
Headline: Turmoil Bowl – Cowboys Take On Eagles in Week 10
An intriguing NFC East clash headlines Week 10 action in the NFL when the 3-5 Dallas Cowboys head to Philadelphia to take on the 3-5 Eagles. It’s quite simple for both of these teams – win or have you playoff chances dashed. Win or endure speculation of wide-spread change. If you thing the talk is plentiful ahead of this game, wait until after!
Headline: Battle of the AFC Haves and Have-Nots – Colts Visits Jags Thursday Night
Two teams going in totally different directions meet on Thursday night in what before the season could have been viewed as a close encounter for legitimacy for both teams. But Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts are miles ahead of where most could have imagined while the Jaguars… they are five steps back from where many could have imagined them at this point of the season.
