The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be back on track following two straight wins, but have had a problem putting teams away. The Lions scored late to record the back door cover and Pittsburgh’s defense continues to struggle late in games. Hard to believe but the Steelers have been outscored 55-13 in the 4th quarter this season.
Can Cincinnati Bengals Hold Off Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson?
I still can’t get my head around the fact that the Cincinnati Bengals are leading the AFC North right now. The Bengals! Thanks to some miracle work on Carson Palmer’s part (and some mistimed penalties on the Ravens’ part), the Bengals used the fourth quarter to mount another improbable comeback. They’ve beaten every team in their division already, and have gone 5-2 ATS in their last 7 at home. For a team that has been in utter turmoil for countless seasons, it’s a very sudden change.
The Philadelphia Eagles look to keep decimating mediocre teams as they visit the 14 point home underdog Oakland Raiders at 4:05 PM ET at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

The Baltimore Ravens (3-1 SU, 3-1 ATS, 3-1 O/U) will undoubtedly be in a foul mood when they host the Cincinnati Bengals (3-1 SU, 2-1 ATS, 3-1 O/U) in an NFC North division matchup at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday at 1 PM ET.
The last time these teams met was in 2006, when the Bucs needed the fourth longest field-goal in NFL history to edge the Eagles. Tampa Bay will need all sorts of miracles on Sunday when they face the Eagles again as McNabb and Westbrook return from injury.
The Raiders continue to be the joke of the NFL, while the Giants continue to set the standard in the NFL. Talk about world’s colliding. In what was a definite romp, the Giants’ star quarterback, Eli Manning, has been sidelined by swelling in his foot and has watched David Carr take the majority of the first team snaps. The line hasn’t moved for this game, so the question is whether the Giants can cover without Manning.
The big news for the Niners recently was the finalized deal with Michael Crabtree. We won’t be seeing him this week. Instead we’re going to see the same team that has gone 3-1 SU, with their lone loss due to an improbably Brett Favre miracle in Minnesota. Both teams are playing strong this season, and in a battle of NFC underdogs, we’re about to find out which team is serious about the playoffs.
When Josh McDaniels took the reigns in Denver, things started to implode pretty damn quickly. He was forced to unload Jay Cutler and take on Kyle Orton, and nearly lost the services of Brandon Marshall. Quickly though, the Broncos thundered out to an undefeated record SU and ATS and have quietly put forth the best defense in the league. You read the last part of that sentence correctly.
