It seems the Orange Bowl has something in common with the Fiesta Bowl this season. Like the Fiesta, the Orange pits a dominant offense versus a dominant defense. Jacksonville State averaged 166.5 yards per game on the ground and another 172.0 through the air, and limited opponents to just 145.5 yards per contest on the grouns and 208.8 through the air.
The Gamecocks return six starters on each side of the ball, but none at the skill positions besides running back Daniel Jackson, full back Alphonso Freeney and tight end Deonte Carter. Jacksonville State also figures to have a strong defensive line with three starters returning.
