New York, New England, and Pittsburgh appear to be headed in that direction in the AFC as they all have just one loss heading into this week’s action.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a thrilling 26-20 comeback win over the Tennessee Titans last week, evening their record at 2-2 on the season. What made the win more surprising is that the Broncos rushed for only 19 yards in the entire contest. Four weeks into the 2010 NFL season there is already some serious head-scratching going on. There is only one undefeated team left; the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs, the NFC East and West each have three teams at 2-2, Indianapolis has already lost as many games as it did all last season, and St. Louis is in the midst of a two game winning streak. One can only imagine what surprises are in store for this week.
Two AFC North football betting rivals will clash in Pittsburgh this weekend, where the Baltimore Ravens will attempt to put an end to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ undefeated start to the season.
Few projected that head coach Mike Tomlin’s team would be so successful early on this year, particularly without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but has been the case as Pittsburgh has the chance now to run the table before their suspended signal caller makes his return following next week’s bye.
Three weeks into the 2010 season and there is only one 3-0 team in the NFC; Chicago and two in the AFC; Pittsburgh and Kansas City as parity is alive and well in the NFL. Seven teams already have a different starting quarterback then they did on opening day and half the teams in the league are averaging less than 20 points a game as consistent offensive production has been a rare commodity so far this year.
All this adds up to one of the strangest starts in years in the NFL.

He’s a coordinator or maybe a college coach at best. He proved that again Sunday, and his childish antics cost smart bettors who took the under in the 49ers-Chiefs game an easy winner.
The total opened at 36, but rose steadily and ended up going off at 38. In a matchup of two below-average offenses with shaky quarterbacks against improving defenses, the under was the sharp side.

The defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints haven’t been perfect on the field this season, but a quick look at the standings would argue otherwise, as the black and gold have opened the season with consecutive wins. The teams they beat aren’t slouches either, as both the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers were projected as legitimate NFC contenders before the season started, and despite their slow starts, are still very talented teams.
