Both of these teams really need this one for slightly different reasons. For the Titans they are on the fringe of the playoff race, needing a win to maintain their current place in the pecking order.
I know that every league and every sport has its meaningless games but they just seem harsher in the NFL, maybe it is because the game is so physical so it is hard to imagine playing when there is really nothing at stake (except paychecks).
Florida lost to Georgia Southern last week which is making this matchup between the supposed two best teams in the state of Florida look like a battle between the haves and have nots.
Baylor vs TCU College Football Spread/Handicapping
If you were believing the success of the Baylor Bears was too good to be true than you were not all surprised with what happened last week when they were dominated on the road at Oklahoma State.
The Warriors continue to struggle on the road as they lost at Dallas in the second game of their current road trip. It was also the second game of a back to back but this is a young team and it is early in the season so that shouldn’t matter all that much.
Not a lot of juice for this traditional season ending game for these programs. The lofty hopes of LSU were dashed many weeks ago even though they are looking very good after beating up Texas A&M last week.
The Bulls were dealt a major blow with Derrick Rose going down with another serious injury. He is definitely out for this one and they will have had just a single game without him in the lineup, a blowout by the Clippers to try and acclimate themselves.
This week will likely be a bit anticlimactic for Northern Illinois. Last week they had a legitimate challenge against a good Toledo team on the road but their last game of the MAC regular season is against a very limited Western Michigan team.
Chicago and Detroit are tied atop the NFC North standing but really the Lions hold the lead by virtue of their two wins over the Bears.
The Carolina Panthers won again on Monday Night Football coming from behind and then holding off New England on the final drive.
If the Kansas City Chiefs are truly a top team then they will snap right back after their first loss of the season to Denver last week. San Diego is in the great morass that is building for the final playoff spot in the AFC and needs every win they can get.
This is a nice late season battle for both of these teams. Neither of these teams is in contention for the BCS Championship but these are proud programs who will be up to try and best the other.
This is a very curious game at this stage of the schedule as Florida State steps out of the ACC for a date with the Idaho Vandals.
Michigan State is on track to meet Ohio State in the B10 Championship game with two games to go in the season. This should seemingly be the greatest obstacle as Northwestern has the ability to put points on the board, something that has been exceedingly difficult for most MSU opponents.
Expected to challenge each other for the NFC South title these teams could not be more opposite right now. The New Orleans Saints have played to expectations, leading the division with an 8-2 record – on some days they look like the best team in the NFL.
I guess a conference isn’t supposed to have two teams called the Knights because Rutgers is hightailing it to the B10 for next season. Good things too because as things are they would definitely be the lesser the two Knights.
