The South Region in the NCAA Tournament has been very form full thus far with all four of the top seeds thru to the sweet 16. This region also finds the overall tournament favorite in North Carolina Tar Heels. Hope all of you has checked out Craig’s breakdown of the East bracket. With the 2009 NCAA Tournament entering the SWEET 16 round, let’s take a different perspective in analyzing the teams that have arrived. It pertains specifically to teams that are returning to the SWEET 16 for the 2nd straight year. Do they perform like a team with experience and panache, or do they execute like CEO’s expecting cushy bonuses while steering a sinking ship? Let’s take a look.
After the first weekend of NCAA Tournament Games we all were left wishing for the big upset and the east bracket was one of two brackets where all four of the top seeds have survived. No upsets teams does not mean average storylines. The sweet 16 games feature Pittsburgh verse there one time point guard Sean Miller now coaching Xavier.
Dayton Flyers and an Early Exit
The Dayton Flyers will probably make the NCAA tournament because their record is 18-2 but if you take a closer looks at the Flyers you will see that they will probably not make it past the 1st weekend maybe not day 1. Dayton should be really worried about there weak schedule as the strength of schedule is 143rd. They were able to defeat Marquette and Auburn neutral courts early in the year and also have a home win against Miami, Oh.
