Whew – we have had a chance to catch our breath after a terrific 2015 NHL playoff run. It is a good time to reflect on the season as a whole and to determine which teams ended the season on top and will enter next season as a threat to do what Chicago just did – hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup.
Just a week remains in the NHL Regular season – the race is on for position for the Stanley Cup Playoffs – the hardest tournament in all of sports. Some teams have made quite a statement down the stretch – others have bumbled their way to close out their Regular seasons – it has definitely been fun!
Another two weeks of NHL action is in the books and the Power Rankings landscape has changed as always. The Rangers have made quite a statement and are now tops in the league while a few of the elite are limping into this week.
The 2014-15 NBA season is 21 weeks old, and the playoffs are creeping up on us. The Western Conference is clearly superior to its counterpart out East, but the competition in both conferences is worth keeping an eye on as the regular season comes to a close.

The 2014-15 NBA season is 18 weeks old, which means the playoffs are right around the corner. As we enter March, a few questions come to mind. For starters: Can the Chicago Bulls compete with a sidelined Derrick Rose? Also: Who do you trust more in the East, Cleveland or Atlanta?

One team welcomed back their All-World goaltender and has seen a bump up to top spot while another team lost their keeper for an extended period of time – that team took a major hit in the Rankings.

It’s been two weeks since we updated the Rankings – the All-Star break has here and now it is time for teams to saddle up and race to the finish. Although there has been some reshuffling, the elite 5 remain in the top tier after two weeks while some surprise teams are knocking on the door of a dirty dozen spot.
The 2015 NBA season is nearly at the halfway point. There’s still a massive difference between the competition out West and the competition out East, but at this point in the process, we have a new team taking the No. 1 spot — a team from the league’s lesser conference.

It’s been two weeks since we updated the Rankings – we had a Christmas break, a coach firing and more mumps issues in the game. Oh ya – we have a new top dog in the Rankings as well! We could make an argument for the #2 team to remain on top but the sheer talent of the Hawks puts the “power” in Power Rankings.
Now that Christmas has passed and the New Year is upon us, the 2014-15 NBA season can really begin. Trades and free-agent moves have shaken up the foundation of the Association, and it’s clear that the Western Conference is as dominant as it’s ever been.
