The New Orleans Saints (12-0 SU, 8-4 ATS, 7-5 O/U) dodged a huge bullet in their 33-30 overtime win over the Washington Redskins in Week 13.
The may not be as fortunate this week against a banged-up, but desperate Atlanta Falcons (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS, 7-5 O/U) team that would love to take their division rivals down a peg or two this week.
In order to keep their dimming postseason hopes alive for another week in the competitive NFC, the Carolina Panthers (5-7 SU, 5-7 ATS 5-7 O/U) must accomplish a feat they haven’t been able to in nearly two months – win consecutive games.

The sportsbook is turning into a Venus flytrap of late, isn’t it? We have a nice, juicy “lock” – the Steelers fighting for their lives at Cleveland – sitting out there for us…we take the bait…and WHAM! We (and Ben Roethlisberger) get eaten alive. Time to strike back.
This is a game with an intensely storied rivalry that’s only furthered by the last ten games, which the Eagles and Giants have evenly split with a 5-5 SU/ATS record. Philadelphia has strung together three big wins over second-tier teams, but New York managed to stifle the Dallas Cowboys last week and are now one game shy of tying for the division lead.

The annual Army-Navy game rolls around as sure as the sun will rise, and serves as a nice bit of appetite-whetting for the bowl season. As has been customary lately, the Naval Academy looks like the stronger football outfit in this match-up. This season, Navy has the best record of the FBS Independents (tsk tsk, Notre Dame) and has been using its customary triple-option offense to rack up huge yards on the ground.
Holy crap, I had no idea this game was even on the schedule. What a terrible matchup for both teams. The Chicago defense is getting torn to bits and pieces by injuries, and the Rams are just one of those teams that could explode at any given moment.
Admit it. You’re scared of that happening (just a little? C’mon!). The Rams are getting a comfortable spread, but travelling on the road against a somewhat talented Bears team should make you rightfully nervous. Let’s sort out this mess together.
Denver Broncos (7-4 SU & ATS) at Kansas City Chiefs (3-8 SU, 5-6 ATS)
Sunday, December 6 – 1 PM ET
Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
BetUS NFL betting odds: DENVER -4.5, Total 38.5
In the BetUS NFL betting odds, the Broncos are listed as a 4.5-point road favorite, with a posted total of 38.5 points.
The Patriots are coming off a glaring loss to the New Orleans Saints, and in typical fashion they pulled their starts with about eight minutes to go in the fourth. Safe move? Probably. Absolutely classless? Definitely.
The Patriots are in solid control of the AFC East for now, but the Dolphins could be a serious spoiler, especially with a home game in hand this weekend. It will be up to Tom Brady and the Patriots to bounce back from the huge loss against the Saints, and Miami’s defense would love nothing more than to feast on the carcass of the Patriots.

By Southern Cal’s lofty standards, this season has been a disappointment no matter which way you slice it. The program has had a couple of embarassing losses to Oregon and Stanford; they took out their frustration somewhat in a 28-7 win over crosstown rival UCLA last week.

Even in a somewhat pop-gun Big East conference, the Bearcats have surprised many by running the table in convincing fashion. The squad has a couple quality wins versus Oregon State and Illinois, but the final game of the season in Pittsburgh might be the stiffest challenge yet.

The Badgers get a long flight over the Pacific and some first-rate weather this weekend as they do battle in Aloha Stadium. They meet a characteristic Hawaii squad, which can run up passing yards and points with the best of them, but have little else of substance.
