The 2009 Breeders’ Cup will be run on November 6th and 7th from Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia, Ca. This year’s Cup features 14 races over the two day period with 6 races scheduled for Friday and 8 races slated to run on Saturday. The following is each race and my favorite to win.
Horses worth watching, a list of runners compiled by horse handicapper/turf writer Greg Melikov that should improve significantly or do well next time out, won nine times, ran second three times and finished third three times since Aug. 17.

After Mine That Bird pulled one of the biggest upsets in Kentucky Derby history, the focus now shifts to the Preakness odds on May 16th. There was some original yet brief trepidation that Mine That Bird wouldn’t be racing in the Preakness but that quickly died down.
Three important Kentucky Derby preps at tracks across the country on Saturday will decide the fate of many 3-year-olds hoping to make the 135th Run for the Roses.
It’s strictly a money situation. For example, Imperial Council must upset probable odds-on favorite I Want Revenge in the $750,000 Wood Memorial at Aqueduct to guarantee a trip to Louisville.

Zenyatta is without doubt one of the best racehorses I have ever seen in my life. She’s simply phenomenal. There’s no doubt that she will be the shortest priced favorite out of every single horse running on both days.
Even though only pre-entries have been drawn for the 2088 Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, it’s time for online racebook fans to get down, and maybe a little dirty, and start handicapping these races.
The Breeders’ Cup Mile is always one of the toughest races on the card for online racebook fans to handicap.
So many good horses usually enter this race that it’s impossible for Pick-4 and Pick-6 online sportsbook betting fans to not spread in this race. Online racebook fans absolutely have to keep that in mind when looking for a horse that deserves a win wager.
