Group H is definitely not the most competitive group. This is in part in that Belgium is still considered a surprise favourite at a World Cup as they have not traditionally been this good and everyone seems to be wondering whether they are really capable of winning a big event like this.
By being placed in this group Argentina is almost guaranteed to advance past the group stage. They would have been one of the favourites to win the whole tournament regardless of what group they are in, but amongst this collection of nations they are likely to be unchallenged until the knockout stage.
Group G is this year’s World Cup “Group of Death”, and is likely to live up to that billing after Germany, Ghana, the United States and Portugal were all assembled, with te later being arguably some of the best teams in the world, with Germany being a strong possible World Cup winner.
While Group C appears to be fairly evenly matched, and there are plenty of different styles within the group that should make for some relatively interesting and competitive matches.
Group B of the 2014 World Cup features the two teams that played for the Title in 2010 – Spain and the Holland will re-acquaint themselves early in the tournament this year as they compete for Group B supremacy. The squads face each other in their first matches of the tournament this year!
With the World Cup less than a month away, it is time to focus on the Group stages and which teams should move on into the elimination Rounds. Group A is highlighted by host country Brazil – five-time winner of the World Cup.
