Houston Rockets vs. Miami Heat Preview

On the season the Rockets are 3-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 0-4 and the Heat are 3-0 ATS and they have an Under record of 3-0.

This season the Heat are 2-0 at home and the Rockets are 3-0 on the road.

In their last games the Rockets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 104-93 and the Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 107-102.

No LeBron James no problem for the Heat, who have gotten off to a great 3-0 start this season. The Heat are the league’s 2nd highest scoring team and one of the main reasons they are winning is the play of Chris Bosh, who almost signed with the Rockets in the off-season. Bosh has been a monster so far on the young season averaging 25.7 ppg and 11.3 rpg.

The Miami offense will be tested by a Houston defense that ranks 4th in the league. The Rockets are also undefeated and in the Sunshine State tonight they are the 5.5-point road betting favorite.

James Harden dropped 35 points on the 76ers in the Rockets last game and in his last 3 games facing the Heat he is averaging 29 ppg.

Dwyane Wade is averaging over 16 ppg and he is averaging 26.9 ppg against the Rockets in his career. However, after struggling in the season on the defensive end of the floor Houston has been soli on D so far on the young season.

While both of these teams are unbeaten the Rockets have yet to face a team that made the playoffs last season and the Heat have only faced 1.

Obviously, Dwight Howard has to be a big concern for the Heat. While his scoring is a little down he is nearly averaging 11 rpg and Miami only ranks 23rd in the league in rebounding. Bosh will need big help on the boards facing Howard, as the Heat lack a true legit big man in the paint.

Trevor Ariza has gotten off to a great start with his new team in Houston and he has taken some scoring pressure off Harden and Howard and is averaging 17.3 ppg this season.

The Heat are 9-1 in their last 10 games facing Houston, but that was obviously with King James in a Miami uniform.
