The White Sox trot veteran Freddy Garcia to the hill tonight. Garcia’s overall numbers aren’t pretty but he’s very quietly allowed exactly two earned runs and gone at least six innings in four of his last five starts. Garcia has been just average over his 19 career starts against Texas, going 6-5 with a 4.39 ERA.
Even though Texas may not have Vladimir Guerrero in the lineup tonight after he fouled a pitch off his eye in batting practice Wednesday (seriously), the Rangers are playing better ball at the moment and have a better pitcher on the mound, so I’d lean their way tonight.
