The Baltimore Orioles have hit the skids a little bit lately. They are still the most surprising team going but they lost their opener against a reeling Toronto team to extend their losing streak to 3 games and have won just 4 of their last 10.

This just might be the wheels coming off the bus as few believed the Orioles had the underlying talent to support their hot start.
Especially in the bullpen where they might have been more lucky than good.
On the hill they are hoping to get more from starter Jake Arrieta. He has yet to put together back to back quality starts this season and even though this is already the third series between the two teams he has yet to square off against the Jays this year.
That has actually been too bad because Arrieta is 3-1 against Toronto for his career.

The Blue Jays were abused on their trip to Texas and Tampa so they must have been excited to be home after dropping 5 straight.
They took the first game of the series against Baltimore, a team they have really struggled against this season, with rookie Drew Hutchinson throwing his best game since getting called up to the majors (9Ks no runs over 7 innings).
The Jays really needed a strong outing as their bullpen has been stretched lately.
Toronto needs a strong homestand and they are off to a good start. Ricky Romero has a very good 5-1 record but his peripherals are indicating a step back not a step forward this season. He is second in the league in walks making his impressive .208 average against a necessity.
Until he can get a handle on that he is going to tantalize backers.
Lucky for Romero he has been blessed with great run support at 6 per game.
