The more you read about trends and angles the more you can get confused with making a profitable NFL pick. Over the years I have been successful in utilizing trends and angles as a part of my NFL picks handicapping arsenal. One such slant on these trends that has been useful is that of the head coaches. Late season college football means heated races for conference titles and bowl berths, plus rivalries that span decades, all of which can influence college football predictions. Line Movement
Carolina opened as a 3.5-point favorite and it has dropped to a field goal but with extra juice added on, as high as -130 in some places. Action was equal in the beginning of the week but Carolina has seen right around two-thirds of the action come in on its side.
The Total opened at 43.5 in most places and has come down a point where it currently sits at 42.5.

Jay Cutler continues to throw interceptions:
Bears fans all thought Jay Cutler was their savior when he first came to town but once again made a number of mental mistakes that ultimately cost his team the game. Cutler threw for over 300 yards but was picked off by the San Francisco defense FIVE times! On the year, Cutler has now thrown more interceptions than touchdowns. He has 14 TD passes and a whopping 17 interceptions. The Bears drove the ball down inside the ten at the end of the game but when the Bears needed a big play out of their franchise quarterback, he threw another interception in the end zone.
Stanford exceeding expectations:
No one expected Stanford to be in the hunt for a Pac 10 title in mid-November but that’s exactly where the Cardinal find themselves after pounding USC this past Saturday. Stanford ran all over Southern Cal, amassing over 325 yards rushing on 50 carries. This Stanford ground game is absolutely electric as they rank 10th in the country in rushing as they are averaging more than 222 yards a game on the ground. Stanford was able to control the clock and keep USC’s athletes off the field as they had the ball for more than 36 minutes.
Bettors are always looking for that sure win system to pick winning selections in football. Usually they’ll find something that seems to work for a few games, then after two straight losers they’ll jump off of it like a sinking ship.

The early total opened at 44 and was quickly bet down to 42 and that is where most other books opened their total at as well.
