Group H is definitely not the most competitive group. This is in part in that Belgium is still considered a surprise favourite at a World Cup as they have not traditionally been this good and everyone seems to be wondering whether they are really capable of winning a big event like this.
It was another lopsided win for the Spurs in G5 at home. Their shooting touch came back in a big way and now they are definitely in control of the series as it head back to OKC. The problem is that in two games on the road in this series they have been a completely different team.
By being placed in this group Argentina is almost guaranteed to advance past the group stage. They would have been one of the favourites to win the whole tournament regardless of what group they are in, but amongst this collection of nations they are likely to be unchallenged until the knockout stage.
The Pirates have dug themselves a hole but it is possible they can make the NL Central a three team race if they can keep chipping away. With last night’s win over Los Angeles they have won 6 of 10 even though their offense and pitching have yet to click.
The Reds have to be among the most disappointing teams in the league. They are bumbling along under .500 and with Joey Votto out and the rest of the lineup struggling they are just not putting up enough runs to win consistently.
The Reds have lost 4 in a row and will be hoping to salvage at least one game from their trip to L.A.
With Oakland fading a little bit the Angels have nearly closed the gap. They are 7-3 in their last 10 and with a series coming up at Oakland after this one they have a chance to be in first place by the end of the week if they continue their strong play.

Houston is not very good so splitting their last 10 games is progress. They enter this series with the struggling Royals with a little momentum thanks to back to back wins over the weekend including an offensive explosion on Saturday night thanks to 2 home runs by future star George Springer.
San Antonio is looking like they are going to breeze back into NBA Finals after two games at home.
The A’s have the best record in baseball but their 5 game winning streak came to close in Tampa in extra innings. One of the reasons Oakland’s record is so great is that they are an awesome 18-7 on the road.
The Dodgers have taken the first two games of the series and are looking for the sweep before heading to Philadelphia.
The Thunder were showing signs that the loss of Serge Ibaka is going to be a big one. Not only did they lose game one, the first loss to San Antonio all season long, they looked soft in the middle, something that is going to be hard to correct over the course of the series.
