San Antonio

You have to think the Thunder will put up more of a fight on their home court but after getting just hammered in G2 it is possible there is a bit of a hangover too.

The amazing thing about their 112-77 victory is that they were actually losing by 2 at the end of the first quarter. They they outscored them 67 to 36 in quarters 2 and 3.

Due to the huge lead they had the Spurs were able to get their whole team into the game on Thursday night.

An amazing 11 players got into the scoring column and once again Danny Green has a fantastic shooting making 7 three pointers. For the second game in a row the Spurs shot 50% from the field.

They absolutely owned the board too, grabbing all of the Thunder misses it seemed while out-rebounding them by 15.

I know that OKC is not as bad as they looked Thursday night but I am shocked that after what we have seen from San Antonio over the first two games and the fact that the Spurs are certainly now flash in the pan that they are not favoured heading into G3.

They are going from -6 to +2 which seems like a bit of a steal.

Oklahoma City

Things have gone from bad to worse for the Thunder.

Not only are they down 2-0 in the series they are having to recover from an embarrassing defeat, and that might be an understatement.  They knew it would be tough without Serge Ibaka but I don’t think they thought it would be this challenging.

They have a big hole to climb out of just to be respectable let alone that they are worthy of another trip to the Finals.

Durant may have been awarded the MVP but maybe that should have gone to Ibaka based on what we are seeing right now. Again he had a poor shooting day but give some credit to the Spurs for making it difficult for him.

The only thing worse than Durant’s performance was that of Russell Westbrook. He has never been a pure shooter and so far in this series he is not getting the spots he wants.

As expressed above I am not sure how the experts make the Thunder the favourites in this one.

Sure it is just a possession but I am think it is giving this team a little too much respect after what we have seen over two games, especially since their home arena is hardly known as a hostile environment.

Sure they could win but this one should probably be a pick’em.
