Minnesota Golden Gophers at Penn State Nittany Lions
Game Time: 3:30 p.m. EST Beaver Stadium, State College, PA
Penn State has had more than its share of troubles against Minnesota since joining the Big Ten, but the oddsmakers seem to think they will handle the Golden Gophers this week at home.
BetUS NFL betting odds: NEW ENGLAND -9, Total 43
Tennessee Titans (0-5 SU, 1-4 ATS) at New England Patriots (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS)
Sunday, October 18 – 4:15 PM ET
In the football odds, the Patriots are listed as a nine-point favorite, with a posted total of 43 points.
There is a long and rich history in the head-to-head series between Notre Dame & USC, and it will renew on Saturday in South Bend.
It is a huge game for the Irish, who have a chance to post the biggest signature win in the Charlie Weis era.
Snapping their winless bowl skid last December, is this the time they finally make themselves relevant again on the national football stage? Oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com don’t seem to think so, setting up USC as the 11-point road favorite.
Does any sports do “rivalry” games better than college football…the Red Sox and Yankees might have a say, and Duke-North Carolina in college hoops…but there is something magical about these big rivalry games in the fall that, to me, anyway, supersede the others.
A prime example is on display this weekend at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, when the 2009 edition of the Red River Rivalry kicks off.
The biggest game on the National Football League’s Week 6 slate features a pair of unbeaten teams that both seem to be, well, unbeatable.
It should make for a classic clash when the New York Giants tangle with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at the Louisiana Superdome (1 pm ET, FOX).
betED.com has the Saints favored by 3 points in NFL Betting Lines, with the over/under set at 47.

Oakland, St. Louis, and Tampa Bay can’t cover any number:
The Oakland Raiders were 15.5 point road underdogs against the New York Giants this past Sunday and got beaten to a bloody pulp, losing 44-7. Their offense is just plain awful. They are averaging 9.8 points per game and only 191.6 yards of total offense. JaMarcus Russell, the former number one overall pick, is a total bust as he thrown only 1 touchdown pass in the first five games. Defensively, the Raiders aren’t much better, giving up 26 points per game.

I will make an effort to give my sports betting advice or a quick over view of the games you want to know about. The Top 25 match ups each week is where most of the eyes turn. Last week I went 5-1-1 on premium plays last Saturday making me 16-6 the last four Saturday’s. We are now 8-2 on POD’s in college football and we are coming of money line winner of Western Michigan +305!

Mitch’s Free Pick Against The Spread College Football
Alabama is off to a monster start this season and are receiving votes as the number one team in the country. While there is little to do to control how people vote, the Tide just need to keep winning and if they do that they know their destiny is in their own hands.
It’s a battle of the NFC’s Yin and Yang when the New York Giants head to the Big Easy to face the New Orleans Saints.
Oddsmakers have set the Saints as 3.5-point home favorites in the Super Dome.
While the Giants are known for their relentless pass rush and hard-nosed defense, and the Saints are the closest thing NFL fans will get to a free-wheeling college football offense, these two teams haven’t been stuck in these general roles.

Let’s examine some of the top factors and handicapping trends on teams in the USA TODAY Coaches’ Top 25 Poll on this week’s college football card in games versus lined opponents. Note: No. 6 Boise State played and won, 28-21, at Tulsa on Wednesday.

Week 6 is here and there a couple of great games on the schedule.
Looking back to 2008 Week 6, the Dallas Cowboys lost starting quarterback Tony Romo to a fractured left pinkie, forcing Romo to miss the next four games and quite possibly ruining the Cowboys playoff hopes, as they dropped 3 of 4 without their starter. Could we see another high profile injury this year?

Series odds: Yankees -167
Pitching
The Yankees have the best overall starter in CC Sabathia who was 12-2 after the all star break. After that the Yankees open up to A.J. Burnett, Andy Pettite, and Joba or Chad Gaudin who was very solid down the stretch. It’s been said that the Yankees might go to a three man rotation with Sabathia starting game 4 and game 7.
