Texans vs Patriots NFL Football Spread/Handicapping
Another rematch to close out the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Houston was embarrassed on their first visit to Foxborough. I expect they will play better but the end result is likely the same.

The Gophers have one loss, back in November at the hands of #1 Duke. Since then they have rattled off 10 victories in a row including three to start Big Ten play. Impressive ones too as they have already conquered ranked team Michigan State and Illinois.
Duke is still among the few unbeaten teams in the nation but with forward Ryan Kelly injured their depth will be tested. The Blue Devils have been eased into ACC play this season with easy victories against weak sister programs Wake Forest and Clemson.
Last week Seattle put an end to Washington’s resurgence. This week they are looking to do the same to the NFC’s top seed in Atlanta.
Ravens Ride the Ray Lewis Train Into Denver in Divisional Round
The Baltimore Ravens will look to keep the role going and win another for their leader Ray Lewis on Saturday when they take on the Denver Broncos, winners of 11 straight games, in the Divisional Round of the AFC playoffs. These two teams met in Week 15 – a game that ended with an impressive, dominant 34-17 win for the Denver Broncos.
All the pieces are falling into place in Memphis.
The long-suffering Grizzlies have emerged as one of the top teams in the Western Conference, and while it’s difficult to see the team (as presently constructed, anyway) getting past the Thunder or Clippers in a seven-game playoff series, the operating philosophy in Memphis these days is seize the moment.
Headline: 49ers Host Packers for Right to Play for NFC Crown
The San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers meet on Saturday night in a game that most people expected before this season started. Two of the best teams heading into 2012/2013 the Niners and the Packers have each looked like dominant forces at times during the year – for the 49ers they looked untouchable early and toward the middle of the season.
Headline: Seahawks In Atlanta for the Right To Play for NFC Title
The Seattle Seahawks keep it on the road this week looking for their third straight win away from home and their sixth straight win overall. The #1 seed in the NFC the Atlanta Falcons await having won 11 of their last 12 in the Georgia Dome.
Life is more than good for the Indiana Pacers these days. Four wins in the last five games, including an 87-77 victory over Miami in their most recent game. Eight wins in the last 10.
Has the league figured out a way to beat the Heat? Tuesday night against Indiana the Heat were crushed on the boards and lost by 10.
St. Mary’s vs Gonzaga is usually the best thing about the West Coast Conference. Last year the Gael’s were able to steal some thunder from the Zags beating them in overtime of the WCC tournament.
Headline: Texans Look For Revenge Versus Patriots in Divisional Round
The Houston Texans head out on the road this week looking to erase the memory of a 42-14 loss at the hands of the New England Patriots December 10 – a loss that begun a slight downhill spiral down the stretch for the Texans. Not a whole lot went right for Houston in that Monday night game and unfortunately for them, there hasn’t been a ton of improvement, especially on offense since that blowout loss.
A rematch of the season opener that San Francisco won at Green Bay…easily. Stakes are obviously higher this time around as both teams look to make it to the Super Bowl.

Ravens won but gave up lots of yards to the Colts who just couldn’t convert when it mattered most. Are they going to be able to have the same success against a Denver team clicking on all cylinders?
This is the SEC kickoff for Alabama, a team in the second tier of the conference but expected to be closer to the top than the bottom. The Crimson Tide team played a tough non-conference schedule.
