Florida Gators Season Preview – CBB Handicapping
I think I always like the Gators a little more than I should. Last year I loved their deep backcourt and they rode it to a second place finish in the SEC and some tournament success.

Kansas is always good it seems. Last year there was some concern because of all the players they lost but they won yet another Big 12 title and collected more than 30 victories once again.
The Memphis Tigers are clearly the class of Conference USA. They are blessed with quite a bit of talent and for the first time in years some experience too as they will likely start a senior, 3 juniors and a sophomore.
Last year was a great season but Creighton actually finished second in the Valley to Wichita State.
Last year was a pretty good start to the Stan Haith era at Mizzou – even if it ended with a thud due to a first round exit against Norfolk State.
Last year’s North Carolina team was typically good sending 4 players to the NBA. In typical Roy Williams fashion they led the conference in scoring on the way to a stellar 14-2 conference record.
With the PAC 12 Conference down overall on the hardwood many are expecting the Arizona Wildcats to rise again in the desert.
This is Syracuse’s swansong in the in the Big East Conference before joining the ACC (booh). That is a lot of history on the way out which is kind of what happened to the Orange at the end of last season too.
The San Francisco Giants have absolutely dominated the first three games of the World Series. They’ll look to finish off the sweep in Detroit Sunday night.
Jacksonville is one of the worst teams in the league, Jacksonville without Maurice Jones Drew is likely the worst and it might not be that close.
The Giants got off to slow starts in the NLDS and NLCS, but they have jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the World Series. Detroit has only put up three runs in the first two games. The Giants pitching staff has starred so far in this series.
Headline: First Place in NFC West on the Line – 49ers at Cardinals Monday Night
Two top defenses go head-to-head on Monday Night Football in Week 8 when the San Francisco 49ers head out on the road to take on the struggling Arizona Cardinals. It has been a long time since the NFC West was so tight – Monday`s game will go a long way to determine a front-runner in the surprisingly competitive division.
Headline: Saints Look to Keep Roll Going Versus Broncos Sunday Night
The New Orleans Saints will look to take one step closer to getting to the elusive .500 mark in Week 8 but they will have their hands full. Waiting for the Saints is a confident Denver Broncos team that is coming off a bye and had looked good prior to their week off.
The Kansas State Wildcats were able to leapfrog the Oregon Ducks for the No. 3 spot in the BCS this week, and following a dominant performance against the once highly touted West Virginia Mountaineers, you have to assume this is one of the best teams in the NCAA on both sides of the ball.
The Florida State Seminoles may have fallen with their week-six loss to North Carolina State, but they are as dangerous as any team outside the top 10, and the Duke Blue Devils are going to find that out this weekend.
The Chargers are looking to regain focus after suffering a humiliating defeat to Denver last week.
