The San Francisco 49ers bounced back from an awful home loss to the New York Giants last week with an unflattering 13-6 win over the Seattle Seahawks. If it isn`t Frank Gore that propels the 49ers to victory, it may just be the San Francisco defense that guarantees the win. They are #1 versus the pass, tenth versus the run giving up an average of just 98 yards per game and they allow just 14.29 points per game – good for second in the NFL.
The Arizona Cardinals come into Monday night`s showdown riding a three game losing streak. John Skelton has been underwhelming to say the least – he lacks the arm strength and escapability to succeed at this level. He has even been able to make Larry Fitzgerald look average – no easy task. The Cards are 26th in passing in the league.

The Cardinals defense has been the lone bright spot for the squad so far this season – they are the reason Arizona started 4-0. They are 4th against the pass allowing just 191 yards per game but they are 20th against the pass. Arizona has had the ability to keep their opposition off the score sheet too – they allow 16.86 points per game good for 4th in the NFL.
