Will any online sportsbook event generate more interest this week than Florida/Alabama? I seriously doubt it, especially since this 1-versus-2 matchup is not just the SEC title game but the real national title game in some people’s eyes. All fingers are pointing towards Donavan McNabb to pull the Philadelphia Eagles within firing range of the playoffs. With the Cowboys winning another game against the Raiders, the lead in the NFC East is getting much larger. McNabb has been a known letdown when it comes to mounting pressure, and even though the Eagles have a sturdy record, their reputation is proceeding them as they host the Washington Redskins.
There’s absolutely nothing going right in Tampa Bay right now, but after they fired their two coordinators and promoted a positions coach to head coach, jettisoned the aging defensive stalwarts that defined their team and gave the role of quarterback to three guys with zero proven track record (Leftwich, Johnson, Freeman), there really wasn’t much hope for them.
