Louisville was Russdiculous in their tournament opener beating overmatched North Carolina A&T by 31 points.
The North Carolina A&T Aggies picked up a nice 73-72 win over Liberty in the Opening Round Game Tuesday in Dayton, but things will get a whole lot tougher for the Aggies on Thursday evening.
The Bearcats have not been playing well of late, squandering some of the early season goodwill they were generating. They won their last game against Connecticut and a win against Louisville would definitely prove they are worthy of an invitation to the Big Dance.
Despite being in the top 10 no one is talking much about Louisville these days. They are second in the Big East and depending on how things break they could wind up winning the conference and earning a top seed. They have won their last 4 games but have not played a top team in a while.
In a scheduling quirk the Orange did not play at all during the week this week. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing when you have a monster of a game on the road to play.
The Friars are not starting their Big East season from a good place. They have lost their last two games to Boston College and Brown. Both losses were on the road which is where they will be again, unfortunately it is as Louisville the 4th ranked team in the country.
Many are expecting the Gators to stomp (and chomp) on Louisville but lets remember that as good as they are on defense they are offensively challenged. Louisville is solid all around and I think this game can be a pleasant surprise.
