Excitement-wise, UFC betting has been a bit of a roller coaster in 2009. After starting the year with some massive events, it’s been in a bit of a lull, with no title fights since early February. Well, starting with Saturday’s UFC 97 odds, UFC betting will be on fire again until the end of the summer.
UFC 97 doesn’t have quite the amazing roster of fights that UFC 100 has, but it does feature one of the most anticipated light heavyweight fights the organization has seen in a while.
Both Chuck Liddell and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua have all the talent in the world, but they haven’t given very impressive performances in recent fights. Despite losing 3 of his last 4 fights, Liddell is the favorite in this one at -200 to +150 for Rua.
