Spread: Canada – 6
Over/Under: 8 Goals

Finally it’s time to drop the puck on the most anticipated Hockey tournament EVER! The Round Robin round of the Olympic Men’s Hockey tournament is going to be one that is not going to see a lot of upsets.
There will be contenders and there will be pretenders and the difference between the two will be brutally obvious.

Case in point – Canada vs. Norway. Team Canada rides lofty expectations and a stacked lineup into their first game and the only things in question are the line combinations that Coach Mike Babcock will employ and how many goals that Canada will win by.

Canada will destroy Norway in this game and that is for certain. The speed, power and overall skill level of the Canadians will lead to numerous Power Play chances. Although Tuesday’s game will serve more as a mini-training camp for the Canadian squad, you can bet that the team will be all business in that game. Ryan Getzlaf appears to be fully recovered from his ankle sprain and is ready to anchor the second line for the powerful Canadian squad, and Roberto Luongo figures to get the start in net.

Some might see this as a trap game for the Gold Medal favorites, one in which the chemistry isn’t quite there yet, but rest assured, the Canadian players are anxious to get this thing going.
Poor Norway. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Norway isn’t exactly known for its Hockey prowess. In fact, there is not one NHL roster player on the team. But Norway is the type of team that will surely act as a perfect tune up for Canada.

They won’t be a threat whatsoever to win the game but they know that they can gain some respect with a decent effort against the Canadian Hockey juggernaut.

Team Norway will have the benefit of their opposition tinkering with the lineup so as to build chemistry for the tougher games that are soon to follow – if you can call that a benefit.

The spread (Canada -6) might be a risky bet as this is the first game that the Canadians will play as a team, but the over/under (8) is certainly intriguing.

This should be a good opening warm up game for Canada so it is not a matter of if they will win, but by how many? Look for Norway to cover the six goals as Canada gets caught with a sub par effort .
