NFL Betting Preview – Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers
The switch has been flipped in Dallas and that’s a dangerous thing for what’s starting to be a muddled NFC championship picture. The Cowboys still have to prove that they can string wins together in January, but for now they’re en route to the playoffs. It’s the exact opposite route the Green Bay Packers are taking this season after giving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their first win of the season.

After much early season scrutiny, Tony Romo has answered the bell. Since a narrow win over Kansas before the bye week, the Romosexual has put up 864 passing yards, 7 touchdowns and just one pick. They were able to demolish the fraudulent Atlanta Falcons 37-21 and then put the end to the “Eagles as contenders” hype train by winning 20-16 in a hard fought match. Romo has undeniably found his rhythm, and news out of Dallas has Marion Barber looking like his normally barbaric self after being hampered by a quad injury. The Cowboys with swagger are as deadly on offense as any other team.
The Boys have also been rewarding their betting faithful left right and centre…except on the road. A 4-2 ATS record in their last 6 is curtailed by an overall road betting line record of 3-7 ATS. However, there is hope against Green Bay since the Boys are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against the Packers
Dallas Cowboys (6-2) vs. Green Bay Packers (4-4)

What can you say about Green Bay? The one thing they’re truly missing is a solid rushing game, but nobody is going to find room to run behind a Swiss cheese offensive line like they have. Aaron Rodgers gets sacked more times than Sarah Palin’s daughter and a lack of offensive balance has sunk the Packers to a 2-5 ATS record at home.
I didn’t trust the Cowboys, but a statement win over the Eagles has me behind them. I used to trust the Packers but after a loss to the Bucs they get the shun from the Furious one. Go with the team that has momentum and more betting reliability overall in the NFL scene.
Free Pick: Dallas -3 (OVER)

This could be a trap game for the Cowboys after a big win in Philly. The Packers are not as bad as they looked last week against the Buccaneers and are fighting just to keep their post season hopes alive.
