Week 5 is officially in the books and what a week it was! There were typical upsets, a fair share of OT games and some resurgence of some of the top dogs in the NFL – the Patriots being the biggest example.

So what can we expect in Week 6? Let’s take a look at all of the games and the odds that accompany those games.

Week 6 Pointspreads & Handicappers Insight

Let’s see if we can get back on track this week as we take a look at all games on the schedule and the odds that accompany them.

Thursday, October 9

Colts at Texans
Week 6 Point Spread:
Colts -2 1/2

There has to be some optimism with the way that Arian Foster played in Week 5 but off a short week, having already been banged up, expect Foster to be a tad less effective this week. Indianapolis on the other hand is rolling – expect them to make a statement Thursday night!

Sunday, October 12

Broncos at Jets
Week 6 Point Spread:
Broncos -9

The Jets scored ZERO points against the Chargers. It is hard to imagine them scoring at least 30 to keep this one close! Peyton is coming off a 479 yards, four TDs passing in a game that the Broncos hung 41 on a good Cardinals defense. This game is potentially the blowout of the weekend.

Steelers at Browns
Week 6 Point Spread:
Browns -2

The Steelers have owned the Browns the last few seasons but this is a different Cleveland team… and a different Pittsburgh team! This matchup was very close in Cleveland earlier this year – the Browns have gotten better and the Steelers have gotten worse. Brian Hoyer has been very good and Cleveland’s running game is currently fourth in the NFL – surprising indeed!

Jaguars at Titans
Week 6 Point Spread:
Lines Not Available Yet

It looks as though the Titans will have Charlie Whitehurst at the helm after Jake Locker-room’s latest injury. I like Tennessee to lean on a running game that looked good in Week 5 and to force Blake Bortles into a few game-changing mistakes Sunday.

Bears at Falcons
Week 6 Point Spread:
Falcons -3

The Bears hit the road for the fourth time already – off two straight losses. The Falcons are a different team at home and have to be anxious about getting back on the field after two humbling road losses. In the highest scoring game of the week take Atlanta to move to 3-0 SU and ATS on home turf.

Packers at Miami
Week 6 Point Spread:
Packers -3

I waffled on this one a little bit – Miami’s very good pass rush could be a huge factor in this game. But Aaron Rodgers has found another gear, Eddie Lacy has finally woken up and the plethora of weapons at Rodgers’s disposal will be too much.

Panthers at Bengals
Week 6 Point Spread:
Bengals -6 1/2

I am expecting a huge bounce back for the Bengals this week – they simply aren’t as bad as Sunday night may have shown. Carolina has zero running game right now and their defense is a shell of its former self.

[dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

I like Cinci better at -3 but I’ll take -6 1/2!

Patriots at Bills
Week 6 Point Spread:
Patriots -3

The Pats reeled off 220 yards rushing in Week 5; they rediscovered Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady looks like he is having fun again. It all adds up to New England re-emerging as one of the AFC’s better teams. I’ll take Brady over Kyle Orton any time!

Ravens at Bucs
Week 6 Point Spread:
Bucs +3

Tampa has covered in each of their last two games – Mike Glennon looks like the real deal.

Chargers at Raiders
Week 6 Point Spread:
Chargers -7

San Diego is 5-0 ATS this season and they have been laying the boots to all of their opposition the last few weeks – they are scoring at will and have given up 24 combined points in their last three games overall. Seven points is a gift against a Raiders team that looks like the worst team in the NFL.

Cowboys at Seahawks
Week 6 Point Spread:
Seahawks -8

It’s true that the Cowboys have been very impressive this season but in an uber-loud CenturyLink field, expect the Cowboys to have a difficult time getting anything going offensively. The Seattle defense will be ready for DeMarco Murray!

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Redskins at Cardinals
Week 6 Point Spread:
Lines Not Available Yet

Who knows who is going to play QB for the Cardinals! Either way I like them to prevail against a Washington team that did some good things Monday night but still lost on home turf. The Cards are for real folks!

Giants at Eagles
Week 6 Point Spread:
Giants +2 1/2

The Eagles won last week but in somewhat unspectacular fashion. At home, they should be better – SHOULD. That said the G-Men are really starting to come on – they have scored 30 or more points in their last three games and Odell Beckman Jr. looks like a real difference maker for this team. Philadelphia’s defense is awful – look for that to be the difference Sunday.

Monday, October 13

49ers at Rams
Week 6 Point Spread:
49ers -3

Frank Gore has been a man on a mission and his backup Carlos Hyde has also been very good. These two rushers get a crack at a Rams defense that is allowing a staggering 152.5 yards per game – 29th in the NFL. The Niners control the clock in this one and post the easy victory.
