Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles Free Gambling Prediction & Week 2 Preview

Ravens vs Eagles NFL Football Spread/Handicapping

The Baltimore Ravens looked as sharp as anyone in week 1, beating Cincinnati easily and in impressive fashion. Now they are on the road for the first time and playing a nonconference opponent they haven’t faced since 2008 – when they crushed the Eagles 36-7.

Baltimore

This should be one of the best games of the weekend and maybe even the whole season.

Too bad it is a bit lost in that 1:00PM time slot.

Last week against Cincy was supposed to be the coming out party for Joe Flacco and he didn’t disappoint.  Using all the weapons at his disposal he was nearly perfect with Ray Rice chipping in some runs as needed.

I also enjoyed seeing the supposedly old Ravens D limit the Bengals.  Ed Reed intercepted a pass – and scored of course – while the defense racked up 4 sacks despite the loss of Terrell Suggs.

All appears quite well in Baltimore.

Essentially a pick’em game at this number.  Ravens are definitely benefiting from very positive perception after their win on Monday night while Philadelphia struggled to beat the lowly Browns.

Ignoring the teaser possibilities Baltimore is a great live dog opportunity and I am confident they will have something in store for Mr. Vick this weekend.

Philadelphia

Eagles fans must have been thinking here we go again during their opener against Cleveland.  This star studded team did more stumbling than anything else but a win is a win.  Maybe they have developed the mental toughness they seemed to lack last season.  This is a chance for them to make a statement in a game a lot of people will be watching. I am curious to see how they respond.

Cleveland might be the only team the Eagles can beat if Michael Vick repeats last week’s performance.  Lesean McCoy looked great ripping off more than 100 yards and they will need him to be a versatile threat against the Ravens.  The defense was solid against the Browns picking off rookie QB Brandon Weeden 4 times.

Hard to tell whether they have turned a corner or just played a weak team.

If you are going to back the Philadelphia side perhaps you know something I don’t.  This is a good but not great team with a real wild card at quarterback.  As we saw last week they are capable of playing quite poorly and won’t be able to afford that against a Ravens team that is among the most consistent in the league.

If you make a play don’t bet big on Philly.
