SNF Green Bay Packers vs. N.Y. Giants Free Gambling Prediction & Week 12 Preview

Packers vs Giants NFL Football Spread/Handicapping

Green Bay has shaken off some early season jitters to begin reminding us why they are among the NFL elite. They have won 4 games in a row, all by nine or more points, and are looking for some revenge in this contest as they visit the New York Giants.

Green Bay

With Chicago dealing with QB issues again it looks like another division championship is on order and this could be another playoff preview.  The Sunday nighter is truly the best game on the card this week.

The Packers success is made even more impressive by the quantity and quality of players that are not in the lineup.  This weekend they will be missing defensive stars Clay Matthews and Charles Woodson as well as All-Pro receiver Greg Jennings, amongst others.

Yet with Aaron Rodgers at QB it seems that this squad will have enough to put a scare in almost any opponent, both home and away.  Rodgers will have to be sharp because this one could be a back and forth battle.

These teams have met the last three seasons and Green Bay has won the two regular season matches but came up short in the playoffs last year.  In the two wins the Packers scored 38 and 45 points and it is likely a similar offensive performance will be required to win this weekend.  As the number shrinks it becomes harder and harder to consider backing the visitors.

New York Giants

New York is being forced to answer some tough questions after back to back losses to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.  [soliloquy id=”82219″]

With the Dallas/Washington result already in they know they will emerge from the weekend still in first place in the NFC East but they still need to right some things to get back to being considered a top contender in the conference.

The loss at the Bengals last week was especially surprising as they weren’t really in it.

QB Eli Manning was very good early but he has been struggling for more than month.  He hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass for three straight games and has four in a row with an interception.  The yards are there but with so many mistakes they have been scuffling on offense.

The rest of the schedule is littered with tough games and as much as a win the Giants could use the confidence boost.

New York has let bettors down the last two weeks, losing outright as favourites.  They are an awful 1-4 ATS at home but this is the smallest number they are being asked to cover and I think they will do it.

It will take a more complete effort than what they have put up lately but I think the opponent will draw out the best in them.

Losing a third in a row, at home, won’t be an option.

Spread Pick: New York Giants -1.5
O/U Pick: Over
Score Prediction: New York 34 – Green Bay 27
