Cincinnati is coming off arguably their most impressive performance in some time – a 49-9 win over the New York Jets while the Fins let another lead get away en route to a 27-17 loss at New England.

Bengals Record: 6-2,  Offense Passing: 7th,  Offense Rushing: 19th,  Defense Passing: 11th,  Defense Rushing: 9th Miami

Dolphins Record: 3-4,  Offense Passing: 18th, Offense Rushing: 23rd, Defense Passing: 19th, Defense Rushing: 19th

The Cincinnati Bengals are realizing the potential that many felt they have had for quite some time – the Andy Dalton has turned the corner and has found a new weapon along the way.

Dalton has thrown for an incredible 1,034 yards with 11 TDs and two interceptions in his last three and A.J. Green and Marvin Jones are quickly becoming one of the best receiving duos in the NFL – Jones had eight receptions (eight targets) 122 yards and four touchdowns versus the New York Jets last week – unreal.

The running game has been OK but if they can ever find their form, Cincinnati could have one of the better offenses in the AFC and could reasonably be a threat to the Broncos this year.

Defense has also been strong for the Bengals this year. They are tied for fifth in the league with 18.0 points allowed per game, but will likely be without linebacker Rey Maualuga (knee) for at least three weeks. This unit stops the run and is good against the pass and now has the pleasure of going up against an offense that has really struggle of late.

Cincinnati also had two interception returns for TDs versus the Jets – superb!

Now for the Dolphins. They have lost four straight games but they have been in almost every one of those games. the problem is that they have been giving up leads late. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

The Fins lost to the Browns on a last second field goal and they took a 17-3 lead into the second half last week against New England only to get shut out in the second half and eventually lost 27-17.

Ryan Tannehill has been just OK – not quite making the strides that many had hoped. Tannehill has turned the ball over 10 times in the four losses and he has been sacked a league-worst 32 times this year.

The Miami running game has largely been a bust. One of Miami’s top pass catchers Brandon Gibson was lost for the season last week – somebody has to step up!

Thursday Night Football Betting Prediction:

A few trends to consider:

Under is 9-2 in CIN last 11 vs. AFC.
CIN are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
Over is 12-4 in CIN last 16 games in October.
Under is 9-2 in MIA last 11 games in October.
Under is 11-3 in MIA last 14 vs. AFC.

The Cincinnati Bengals are simply on fire right now – there is no way the Fins stop Giovani Bernard, A.J. Green and Marvin Jones. Andy Dalton appears to have turned the corner – finally and the Bengals defense is lights out right now.

2 1/2 points is a gift – this game has blowout written all over it.

Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -2 1/2
