Cappers Jaguars vs. Texans MNF Betting Trends + Pick

Preview and Week 13 NFL cappers matchup tips for tonight’s Monday Night Football Jaguars vs. Texans matchup, plus an NFL Betting Preview, a look at the gambling trends, plus a free pick…

NFL Betting – Disappointing Teams Meet as Texans Host Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7 SU, 3-8 ATS, 5-5-1 O/U) have dropped two straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook and have been the most disappointing team in the entire NFL this season. The Houston Texans (4-7 SU, 4-7 ATS, 9-2 O/U) snapped a three-game losing streak in their last contest, beating the lowly Cleveland Browns 16-6 on Sunday but have also been a huge disappointment this season.

Tonight, both non-playoff bound teams will try to pick up a win for fans and BetUS NFL sports betting buffs when they meet on the gridiron at Reliant Stadium in a battle of division rivals.

The Jaguars lost to the Minnesota Vikings 30-12 as a 2.5-point favorite last week despite putting up some solid statistics. Quarterback David Garrard completed 27 of 45 passes for 317 yards and one touchdown but threw two costly interceptions. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew caught nine passes for 113 yards.

“It was an embarrassing performance,” coach Jack Del Rio said. “Might have been as bad as I’ve felt postgame.”

“What I recognize is there’s not going to be any quick fix,” Del Rio added. “What I recognize is that it is going to take a commitment, it’s going to take resolve. I have the resolve and a firm commitment to make sure we’re getting this thing turned in the right direction as we close out this year and look to build for next year.”

The Texans defeated the Cleveland Browns 16-6 as a 3-point underdog last week as quarterback Sage Rosenfels completed 24 of 32 passes for 275 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while wideout Andre Johnson caught 10 passes for 116 yards in the win.

“It’s a great feeling,” said Rosenfels, who has three touchdowns and eight picks in his four starts. “It’s a huge, huge win for us. Cleveland’s a tough place to play. For us to come in here and play like this shows a lot about our players and our coaches.”

NFL Odds

Jacksonville Jaguars +3
Houston Texans -3

Over 48 -110
Under 48 -110

Analysis: The Jaguars haven’t scored over 19 points in any of their last five games, except for their win over the lowly Detroit Lions on Nov. 9. I’ll keep this pick simple by saying this is a contest that the Houston Texans should be able to win and cover the spread in with their, still effective offense. Take the Texans to win and cover against the Jaguars.
