Dave B’s NFL Power Rankings – Week 14

NFL Power Rankings – Where Every Team Sits After Week 13

Another whacky week of NFL action is in the books – no shortage of storylines this past weekend! But with all the craziness that ensued there is little change in the Dirty Dozen this week. The good teams did what was expected of them!

Let`s break it all down in this week’s edition of Dave B’s NFL Power Rankings

1. SEAHAWKS (Last Week: 1)

Any questions? The Seahawks actually pulled their starters in the fourth quarter against New Orleans Monday night – total domination. The Seahawks defense held Drew Brees to his worst game in years and Russell Wilson guided his offense to an incredible 37 points – Seattle scored on their first five possessions. Absolutely nobody wants to face the Seahawks in Seattle – nobody!

2. BRONCOS (Last Week: 2)

The Broncos almost let the Chiefs stage a monumental comeback Sunday but still pulled out the win. Peyton Manning threw for 5 TDs – 5! At Arrowhead to boot! Defense is still an issue but there is absolutely no doubting what this team can do when the offense gets a hold of the ball.

3. PANTHERS (Last Week: 4)

The hottest team in the NFL cooled off the Tampa Bay Bucs in easy fashion stretching their win streak to eight games. Not a whole lot is going wrong for the Panthers – defense, passing and rushing are all hitting on all cylinders.

4. SAINTS (Last Week: 3)

The Saints got manhandled in the Pacific Northwest – they did NOTHING well in Week 13. They host the Panthers in Week 14 – should be interesting!

5. PATRIOTS (Last Week: 5)

The Pats are 9-3 but don`t climb in the Ranking this week due to their underwhelming win against Houston Sunday. New England doesn`t lose a spot this week but they don`t gain one either. Brady and Gronkowski have been terrific as of late – you Fantasy footballers know what I mean!

6. CHIEFS (Last Week: 6)

Three straight losses for the Chiefs now but they certainly did make a game of it against Denver this week. The defense was absolutely torched by Peyton Manning and are a far cry from the unit that started 9-0. The offense looked terrific Sunday however allowing them to keep their Number 6 spot.

7. 49ERS (Last Week’s Ranking: 7)

The Niners are coming on – and it all starts with defense. They beat up on a pretty good Rams team Sunday quite easily. The return of Michael Crabtree looks a lot like a difference maker – Colin Kaepernick looked like a different man with Mike in the lineup.

8. BENGALS (Last Week: 8)

The Bengals beat the Chargers in an ugly game Sunday but the defense looked great again. Andy Dalton continues to look like an average QB – scary if you are a Cinci fan.

9. COLTS (Last Week: 9)

The Colts got the “W“ on Sunday but they won`t get a whole lot of style points. But they did beat the Colts and they did virtually lock up the South. The Colts are tenuously handing onto a top 10 spot – barely!

10. LIONS (Last Week: 14)

Beat the Packers 40-10 on Thanksgiving Day – enough of a reason to have this team creep into the top 10. But keep in mind they lost to Tampa and Pittsburgh in consecutive weeks before Thursday – so let`s not get too terribly excited. That said with an offense like the Lions possess and an aggressive defense the sky is the limit for the Lions.

11. EAGLES (Last Week: 11)

Will Nick Foles ever throw an interception? Philadelphia certainly is playing well on both sides of the field. When you win the turnover battle, chances are that you will win your share of games – that`s what Phili is doing at the moment. Beating the red-hot Cards Sunday was impressive indeed.

12. COWBOYS (Last Week: 12)

Dallas tried to give their Thanksgiving Day game away to the Raiders – such good hosts! But a win is a win and the Boys now sit in a playoff spot thanks to their win earlier this season over Philadelphia. The Cowboys defense still hasn`t shown anything to lead us to believe this team can go far in the playoffs however.

13. CARDINALS (Last Week: 10)
14. BEARS (Last Week: 15)
15. RAVENS (Last Week: 18)
16. CHARGERS (Last Week: 13)
17. STEELERS (Last Week: 16)
18. RAMS (Last Week: 17)
19. DOLPHINS (Last Week: 21)
20. TITANS (Last Week: 19)
21. PACKERS (Last Week: 20)
22. GIANTS (Last Week 22)
23. JETS (Last Week: 23)
24. BILLS (Last Week: 24)
25. RAIDERS (Last Week 25)
26. BUCCANEERS (Last Week: 27)
27. BROWNS (Last Week: 28)
28. REDSKINS (Last Week: 26)
29. VIKINGS (Last Week: 29)
30. FALCONS (Last Week: 30)
31. JAGUARS (Last Week: 31)
32. TEXANS (Last Week: 32)
