49ers Schedule – NFL Football
Next up. The San Francisco 49ers. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.
2013 Regular Season Opponents
Sun, Sept. 8 GREEN BAY This is a wonderfully exciting Week 1 match-up. The Packers have been among the NFC’s elite for several years now, and the Niners represented the conference in last year’s Super Bowl XLVII. Unless Packers QB Aaron Rodgers opens with a great game, I like the Niners’ chances at home here.
Sun, Sept. 15 @ Seattle The two “haves” in the NFC West go at each other early in the season. Division foes and all other opponents should discover in 2013 that San Fran pivot Colin Kaepernick is more than just an athletic marvel – he can be effective in the pocket also.
Sun, Sept. 22 INDIANAPOLIS The Colts have struggled to stop the run for a while now; San Fran possesses reliable veteran power back Frank Gore, but there’s also intriguing depth at RB with speedy youngster LaMichael James and Kendall Hunter.

Thurs, Sept. 26 @ St. Louis A potentially tricky Thursday night road game, provided the Rams offense can do anything against San Fran’s terrorizing LB corps and a healthy DE in Justin Smith, who effectively played with one good arm in last year’s playoffs (torn triceps).
Sun, Oct. 6 HOUSTON The Texans need to shake the label of being a soft team. They could accomplish such with a strong showing against a fierce defense like the 49ers.
Sun, Oct. 13 ARIZONA I could definitely see new Cardinals QB Carson Palmer throwing an interception or two, with San Francisco’s athletic secondary and dynamic pass rush to worry about.
Sun, Oct. 20 @ Tennessee The Titans don’t play as nasty as they did in seasons past, which bodes well for the Niners on the road. Physical wideouts like Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree should have a field day against the jittery Tennessee back seven.
Sun, Oct. 27 @ Jacksonville Unless Jags RB Maurice Jones-Drew turns back the clock to three years ago, when he was one of the best in the league, it’s hard to see this game being a close contest.
Sun, Nov. 3 BYE
Sun, Nov. 10 CAROLINA Aldon Smith, Ahmad Brooks, Justin Smith and all the other rabid pass-rushers donning the red and gold should make life miserable for sulky Carolina signal-caller Cam Newton.
Sun, Nov. 17 @ New Orleans This could be a trip-up game for the 49ers, as Drew Brees has enough veteran guile to be elusive in the pocket and release some of his trademark accurate deep balls. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
Mon, Nov. 25 @ Washington Between Kaepernick and DC’s oft-publicized RG3, this is a perfect Monday-night primetime game for all the NFL corporate cats out there. The old WWF slogan was “The World is Watching”, but I think we need to borrow trademark rights…
Sun, Dec. 1 ST. LOUIS Although the Rams are doing some good things, we haven’t seen enough sustained success from QB Sam Bradford to be convinced yet.
Sun, Dec. 8 SEATTLE This should be a genuinely fantastic game. There are just too many interesting positional match-ups to list, but especially watch fired-up Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch attack the heart of a prideful Niners “D.”
Sun, Dec. 15 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin had a 2012 campaign that was both surprising and excellent. What will he do for an encore?
Mon, Dec. 23 ATLANTA The Niners have several games in 2013 that should portend NFC playoff seeding. These are two well-assembled football clubs from top to bottom, and this late-season game could go either way.
Sun, Dec. 29 @ Arizona The Cardinals might just catch the Niners napping if San Francisco is resting its starters for an arduous playoff run.
