2013 Arizona Cardinals Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Cardinals Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The Arizona Cardinals. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

2013 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 8 @ St. Louis An interesting match-up against two wolves climbing the hill in the NFC West, with two nasty dogs (Seattle, San Francisco) on the top of the ridge and snarling to maintain their territory.

Sun, Sept. 15 DETROIT I think this could be a very winnable game for the Cards. Quarterback Carson Palmer gives Arizona some passing legitimacy, and the fearsome duo of DEs Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett should pressure Detroit QB Matthew Stafford.

Sun, Sept. 22 @ New Orleans The Cardinals released both starting safeties from last season; they could live to regret that decision with the aerial onslaught of Drew Brees and Co.

Sun, Sept. 29 @ Tampa Bay Arizona’s coaching staff thinks it has a bell-cow running back in the newly-acquired Rashard Mendenhall. The Cards need to have some offensive balance in order to make tangible improvement in 2013.

Sun, Oct. 6 CAROLINA The impressive Cardinals defense should be able to stymie whatever the Panthers are bringing offensively.

Sun, Oct. 13 @ San Francisco Arizona’s secondary struggled defending 49ers WR Michael Crabtree last year; hopefully it’s not a little bit of history repeating this time around.

Thurs, Oct. 17 SEATTLE Given recent success, the Seahawks are everybody’s latest fashionable pick in the NFC. Arizona’s personnel would love to turn that on its head in primetime.

Sun, Oct. 27 ATLANTA A three-game schedule of San Fran, Seattle and Atlanta (one of the games played on short rest) is truly a cruel gauntlet for ’Zona. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Sun, Nov. 3 BYE (a well-earned one at that!)

Sun, Nov. 10 HOUSTON Cornerback Patrick Peterson is a stud, but the rest of the Arizona secondary will have its hands full defending the likes of Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson et al.

Sun, Nov. 17 @ Jacksonville The Jaguars are in an utter rebuilding mode, so Arizona should feel good about coming into north Florida and taking care of business.

Sun, Nov. 24 INDIANAPOLIS Sure, Palmer’s had a solid career, but young Colts pivot Andrew Luck intends to have an even more impressive legacy when it’s all said and done.

Sun, Dec. 1 @ Philadelphia The Eagles plan to roll out a high-tempo strategy, which should suit Arizona’s hyperactive defense just fine.

Sun, Dec. 8 ST. LOUIS If the Cardinals intend to climb out of the divisional basement, this is surely a must-win game.

Sun, Dec. 15 @ Tennessee The jury is still out on Titans’ QB Jake Locker, so you have to like the Cards in this game, provided they can keep blazing-fast Chris Johnson from breaking into the open field.

Sun, Dec. 22 @ Seattle The only way the Seahawks could really regress is if QB Russell Wilson takes an unexpected step backward, or suffers a freak injury. Sorry, Cards fans!

Sun, Dec. 29 SAN FRANCISCO Arizona not only has a sinister stretch mid-season, they have a nasty couple games to close out the 2013 campaign as well. If the Cardinals could split these last two divisional games, they should consider that a remarkable achievement.
