2013 Miami Dolphins Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Dolphins Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The Miami Dolphins. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

2013 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sep 8@ Cleveland – The 2nd season for the Dolphins with QB Ryan Tannehill under center starts on the road facing a Browns’ team that was 4-4 at home last season.

Sun, Sep 15 @ Indianapolis – The Fish play their 2nd straight game on the road where they were 2-6 last season. Miami ranked 27th in pass defense last season and that has to change facing Andrew Luck, who hopes to avoid a sophomore slump.

Sun, Sep 22 vs Atlanta – Finally at home! Well, the Dolphins have big worries in this game with their pass D facing Matt Ryan and the dynamic WR duo of Roddy White and Julio Jones. Can the no-name RB by committee control the ground facing the Falcons? They may have to in order to win.

Mon, Sep 30@ New Orleans – Far from easy facing the Drew Brees and the Saints in the Big Easy. At least Tannehill and the RB’s will be facing a Saints’ D that ranked 2nd to last against the pass and dead last against the rush last season.

Sun, Oct 6 vs Baltimore – Sure the Ravens lost some key players from last season’s Super Bowl team, but they are still legit. Can the Fish and their pass rush get to Joe Flacco? Big question for this AFC match up.

BYE WEEK

Sun, Oct 20 vs Buffalo – Miami beat Buffalo at home last season and this is the first game for the Fish within their division. Miami will have to stop the solid rushing attack of the Bills led by CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson.

Sun, Oct 27 @ New England – Hey, fun traveling to New England to face Tom Brady and the Pats. In the last game of last season the Dolphins lost in New England 28-0 and Tannehill may have to light up the scoreboard for the Fish to have any chance to pull off the big upset.

Thu, Oct 31 vs Cincinnati – Miami will be playing an upstart Cincy team that has high hopes this season. Containing Andy Dalton will be key in this game and Tannehill and company will be facing a legit Bengals’ D that ranked 6th in the NFL last season.

Mon, Nov 11 @ Tampa Bay – In the battle for bragging rights in the Sunshine State Tannehill may have to do it all, as the Bucs’ rushing defense was the top-ranked unit last season. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Sun, Nov 17 vs San Diego – Norv Turner is gone and will the Dolphins be facing the Phillip Rivers, who has struggled for the last couple of seasons or the one who was one of the best QB’s in the league the previous few years?

Sun, Nov 24 vs Carolina – Last season the Dolphins ranked a solid 13th in the league in run defense and they have to defend the run in this game facing the Panthers’ QB Cam Newton and RB DeAngelo Williams. Last season the Panthers had a better road record than home record.

Sun, Dec 1 @ New York Jets – Will Miami and their suspect pass defense from last season be facing Mark Sanchez or rookie Gino Smith? Last season the Dolphins crushed the Jets 30-9 in the Big Apple.

Sun, Dec 8 @ Pittsburgh – Not an easy task facing Big Ben and the Pittsburgh defense on the road. Will the Fish be able to run the ball facing a Steelers’ run defense that was the 2nd ranked unit in the league last season?

Sun, Dec 15 vs New England – The Dolphins lost to the Pats twice last season, but played them tough at home. Containing Brady is key and the higher scoring this game is the less of a chance the Dolphins have to win.

Sun, Dec 22 @ Buffalo – The Dolphins lost at Buffalo last season only gaining a grand total of 184 yards in the game. The Fish do not have a nig name RB, but the backfield will be facing a Buffalo run defense, which ranked 2nd to last in the league last season in run defense.

Sun, Dec 29 vs New York Jets – The Jets again for the 2nd time in a month and at home where they lost to New York in OT in the 3rd game of the season. The Dolphins have a great chance to end the season on a high note at home and they are hoping the Jets implode like they did last season.
