2013 Buffalo Bills Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Bills Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The Buffalo Bills. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

Sun, Sep 8 vs New England – The Bills have a tough start to the 2013 season facing the Patriots, but at least they are at home. Will rookie 1st round pick QB EJ Manuel get the start or will free-agent addition Kevin Kolb be under center?

Sun, Sep 15 vs Carolina – In the 2nd straight home game for the Bills they have a winnable game facing a Panthers’ team that went 7-9 last season. Last season Buffalo ranked 2nd to last in the league in run defense, which is not good in this game facing QB Cam Newton and RB DeAngelo Williams.

Sun, Sep 22 @ New York Jets – The Bills ended 2012 on a high note beating the Jets at home, but they were trounced in the first game of the season facing them in the Big Apple.

Sun, Sep 29 vs Baltimore – The defending Super Bowl champion Ravens lost a few key members from last season’s team, but the Bills will still have their hands full and last season Buffalo did not have 1 win all season facing a team with a winning record.

Thu, Oct 3 @ Cleveland – Short week for this game and while on the road they face a Cleveland team that was 5-11 last season. CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson led a Bills team last season that ranked 6th in the NFL in rushing yards per game and they will face a Browns’ squad that ranked 19th last season in run defense.

Sun, Oct 13 vs Cincinnati – Whoever is at QB for the Bills and Spiller and Jackson face a much improved Cincy D that ranked 6th in the NFL last season in total defense.

Sun, Oct 20 @ Miami – The Bills lost badly to Miami in the Sunshine State in the 2nd to last game of the season last year. Manuel or Kolb may get the green light to air it out facing a Miami pass defense that was very weak last season.

Sun, Oct 27 @ New Orleans – This game in the Big Easy is a tough one and Buffalo’s pass defense, which ranked 10th last season, will be tested. Can the Bills get into a shootout with the Saints and win? Not likely. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Sun, Nov 3 vs Kansas City – The Bills face a Chiefs’ team that has a new QB in Alex Smith and high expectations for the season.

Sun, Nov 10 @ Pittsburgh – The Bills did not beat a winning team last season and this road game is a killer one. You don’t think the Steelers’ D will come after rookie Manuel if he is under center?

Sun, Nov 17 vs New York Jets – 2nd time around playing the Jets and the Bills have a great shot to win at home, but it depends if New York is the dysfunctional team it was last season.

BYE WEEK

Sun, Dec 1 vs Atlanta – Matt Ryan and the Falcons are in town and last season Atlanta was 6-2 on the road. Pass defense will be key in this game trying to contain the Falcons’ WR duo of Roddy White and Julio Jones.

Sun, Dec 8 @ Tampa Bay – The Bills’s strength this season may be running the ball and while the Bucs have their issues last season they were the top-ranked rushing defense in the league.

Sun, Dec 15 @ Jacksonville – Even on the road this game the Bills will face a Jags’ team that has major QB issues and did not rank in the top 20 last season in passing and rushing yards per game and passing and rushing defense.

Sun, Dec 22 vs Miami – The Bills get the fish at home in the 2nd to last game of the season and last season at home Buffalo narrowly beat Dolphins.

Sun, Dec 29 @ New England – The Bills play the Pats at home in the opening game of the season and finish the season facing them on the road. Last season at New England the Bills lost in a shootout and facing Tom Brady and the dynamic Pats’ passing attack it is not idea to get into a high-scoring game again. Maybe the Bills will be lucky and this game will not mean anything to the Pats, who are the big favorite to win the AFC East.
