Florida State will look to extend their current win streak to 30 games, while Oregon looks for their 9th consecutive victory.

Oregon

Led by Heisman trophy winner Marcus Mariota, the #2 Oregon Ducks come in winners of 8 in a row, including a 51-13 thrashing of Arizona in the PAC-12 Championship game.

The win over Arizona was a bit of revenge for the Ducks, whose lone loss in the 2014 regular season came at the hands of Arizona back on October 2nd, 31-24. During their 8 game winning streak, Oregon has scored over 42 points in all of their victories.

The lowest point total produced by Oregon came in their loss to Arizona.

QB Marcus Mariota absolutely baffled the opposition night in and out throughout the entire season. Mariota threw for 3783 yards and 38 passing touchdowns. With his 38 throwing touchdowns, Mariota also contributed 14 touchdowns on the ground.

Overall, Oregon was 3rd in the nation overall with 46.3 points a contest. In their 12 wins, the lowest point total accumulated was 38 points against Washington State back on September 20th.

With the fast paced, high scoring offense, the Ducks totals were often very high.

Due to this, Oregon saw their O/U record sit at 6-6-1 on the season.

Florida State

Rarely getting respect from the media, the Florida State Seminoles went about their business en route to another undefeated season.

The Seminoles are riding a 29 game winning streak and look to defend their national title from a year ago when they knocked off Auburn on a late touchdown pass from QB Jameis Winston.

Florida State managed to consistently sneak out of close games and find ways to win throughout the entire 2014 season.

Florida State’s biggest margin of victory came on October 4th when they dismantled Wake Forest 43-3 in Tallahassee.

On both sides of the ball Florida State often showed much inconsistency. One Saturday it would be the offense who was sputtering and on another Saturday the defense would fail to step up.

Florida State ranked 29th in total scoring with 34.8 points a contest.

The defense ranked 30th overall in points allowed with 23.0 points against. The highest point total allowed by Florida State came back on September 27th when they allowed 41 points to the NC State Wolfpack in a 56-41 victory.

In their most recent outing, Florida State’s defense was unable to figure out the triple option as Georgia Tech piled up 35 points against them.

On the season, Florida State saw just 5 games go over the total number with 8 going under.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Under is 4-1 in Seminoles last 5 games following a S.U. win.
  • Under is 6-2 in Seminoles last 8 neutral site games.
  • Under is 5-1 in Ducks last 6 bowl games.
  • Under is 4-1-1 in Ducks last 6 games on grass.

Free 4* NCAA Football O/U Pick: Under 71.5

The key for the under to hitting here is Florida State controlling the ball and clock. It’s no secret Oregon can strike and strike quickly. Florida State will come in with a game plan to keep the clock moving and keep Marcus Mariota off the field.
