UConn Huskies vs. Florida Gators Gambling Odds & Final 4 Prediction

Huskies vs Gators Pick – NCAA Tournament

As good as the Gators are they must think there is something to go on to have to face the last team that beat them to advance to the Championship Game. It was by only point but a loss is still a loss, especially when you only have two of them all season long. [ad-4468020]

ATS Matchup Insight | CP Insider Gambling Preview

Florida

That was back in December so clearly the Gators have recovered nicely. They are the best team in the country no matter what people are saying about Kentucky now.

The Gators are led by 4 seniors, all will be important if they are going to win the title.

Patric Young and Will Yeguete supply inside muscle, Casey Prather is a smooth wing that contributes on offense and defense and Scottie Wilbekin is the straw that stirs the drink. Young should be licking his chops due to UConn’s dearth of inside prowess but it will be Wilbekin that will be the difference maker.

The team is so good that sometimes he is overlooked but he is definitely MOP material

Florida may be a good bet to win it all but they are just 2-2 ATS in the tournament thus far. Their record during the season was not much better so it is safe to say they might be so public that the value is getting sucked out of them.

At this point lots of future are in play too so I would wait to see where the line goes all the way until just before tip off.

Connecticut

If you are going to be an underdog at this point it must help you sleep at night to know that you have beaten the team you are about to play.

That is the case for UConn which is making a surprise run to the Final Four. Sure this is a good team with a great lead dog but not many saw them as Final Four material this season.

Kevin Ollie has done a tremendous job but he is facing a lot of experienced coaches at this point.

I am getting a little tired of writing about Shabazz Napier so lets throw a little light towards the inside players who will have to be big if the Huskies are going to upset the Gators again. In that in Tyler Olander played just 11 minutes before fouling out.

He is a big body and a senior and they are going to need more from him.

By all right the Huskies should have lost that game but the 3 pointer was the difference, they made 8 more of them than the Gators.

At the current number I am not high on the Huskies. I worry that in a big game like this Ollie might get outcoached and also that the Gators might throw every junk defense you can think of to thwart Napier perhaps even putting Prather on him which they can do because of their overall size advantage.

Unless it moves a lot I am not getting behind UConn even though I have liked them in every other matchup except against MSU.

Spread prediction: Florida -6.5
