What’s wrong with the Pittsburgh Panthers? They’ve lost two straight games for the first time in almost two years and fell eight spots in the national rankings this week as a result. First came the home loss to Georgetown last week; fair enough, as the Hoyas are the No. 12 team in the nation. But losing to Seton Hall was quite the surprised.
Pittsburgh looks to bounce back tonight and extend a 31-game home winning streak versus unranked teams when St. John’s comes to town. The Red Storm aren’t exactly arriving in Pittsburgh at an opportune time. Against No. 4 Villanova on Saturday, D.J. Kennedy, St. John’s leading scorer, went two of 12 from the field for only 10 points.
He has to be better against the big boys for St. John’s to have a chance tonight. 
Everything points to a big Pittsburgh victory.
The Panthers are mad, they have Ashton Gibbs playing great basketball (17.3 point per game, 94.2 per cent free throws), and St. John’s has just one road victory this year.
