After the Badgers handed the Boilermakers a loss at Wisconsin last month – and became the first team to beat Purdue this season – Purdue hopes to return the favor tonight. The Boilermakers seem to have put their sudden, disappointing three-game losing streak behind them, having won back-to-back games since then.
Purdue, which has won three straight at home to Wisconsin and is 35-2 at home to them all-time, will need more from JaJuan Johnson tonight. He had just seven points on January 10 against Wisconsin but had 20 points and 10 boards the last time he faced the Badgers at home. He averages 14.2 points per game and should turn in a better effort tonight.
Wisconsin could be in danger of falling behind early. Though it’s won four of its last five, it’s averaging just 21.7 first-half points over its last three games. On Sunday night, the Badgers rallied for a come-from-behind, overtime victory over Penn State. 
Jordan Taylor led the way with 10 points in the extra period. Filling in for Jon Leuer (broken wrist) , Taylor has been hot/cold, showing an inspired effort in the Penn State win but also posting an 0-for-7 shooting performance over that span.
Given Wisconsin’s offensive struggles, Purdue’s home dominance over the Badgers and the revenge factor, I really like Purdue to cover tonight and make a statement.
