Virginia is coming off a near scare of Duke but this is still a very average team. Their best wins are against Virginia Tech and Minnesota two talented teams who have a tendency of playing down to the competition of lesser foes. This is a key game for the Cavs who don’t want to fall too far down in the ACC standings but winning on the road is tough to do in the conference.
This team took a tough blow losing leading scorer and rebounder Mike Scott to a season ending injury earlier this month. As a result they don’t have a lot of quality size to compete inside. Still they are performing better than expected with a tidy 8-4 ATS record this season. 
That might not last long though.
I think this BC team can surprise folks under the right conditions (a la winning at Maryland to open ACC play).
They are not very deep this year but they do have talent, including Reggie Jackson who is one of the better scorers in the ACC. Right now they are tied atop the conference with a 3-1 record but they need to keep collecting wins when they are supposed, like in this one, if they want to stay near the top of the standings.
Hopefully they stay focused and don’t look ahead towards a brutal road stretch with trips to Duke and FSU. Right now they are overachieving a bit but I think they can keep it up and win one of those road games.
