Tennessee has had an interesting start to the season. Lost among the mess surrounding their coach is that this team is undefeated and playing pretty good basketball. I was very impressed with their win against Villanova and by the end of the season their victory over VCU will carry even more weight. 
But if they can pull of this one as part of the SEC-Big East Invitational it will be the biggest of all. The big key has been on the glass. Even though they lost leading rebounder Wayne Chism they are 15th in rebounding in the nation. In their key wins they outrebounded Villanova by 5 and VCU by 9.
If they can out rebound Pitt, who is sixth in the nation, then a win is more than possible.
Pittsburgh is also undefeated but mostly unchallenged at this point too. They have a close win over a pretty good Texas team but other than that they have faced mainly inferior competition and won big. As expected guard Ashton Gibbs has upped his game, scoring 17ppg, but they need him to continue to soar if this team is going to be among the national elite.
They were expecting to get a contribution from Isaiah Epps, a highly touted frosh but he has yet to play this season.
One advantage for Pittsburgh is that they do have plenty of bodies to throw at Tobias Harris, the Vols star freshman power forward.
