Louisville Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Bearcats Gambling & NCAA Handicapping Prediction

Louisville vs Cincinnati CBB Picks

I feel like Louisville is constantly disappointing this season but they only have 4 losses and a #5 next to their name despite the fact that they are looking up at Cincinnati in the standings of the AAC. [ad-4468020]

Louisville

As a result this is a big game for the Cardinals who will be looking to avenge one of those losses on the road on Saturday.

Louisville has just one road loss all season at Kentucky. They have won all of their league road games.

You wouldn’t think it but Louisville is one of the top scoring teams in the country even though Russ Smith’s ppg is down and Chane Behanan is gone. As expected Montrezl Harris has made a jump and is shooting a cool 60%. Plus March Madness assassin Luke Hancock has been a more regular contributor even though his shooting has not been great this season.

They are playing excellent defense too but this is probably a better offensive team than last year.

It is hard not to like the Cardinals as small favourites, especially in a revenge situation because you know that coach Rick Pitino does not take well to losing.

Louisville definitely has the more talented team but Cincinnati is having one of those special seasons. I think they can still seize the moment though.

Cincinnati

The Bearcats, despite a better record, being in first place in the AAC and a victory over Louisville on the road, are looking up at the Cardinals in the national rankings. I know this team has overachieved but that has to irk them just a little bit for this one.

A win at this stage would likely give them the first AAC regular season title so there is lots at stake and it should be an intense battle.

When Cincy won last month guard Sean Kilpatrick scored 28 points to lead all scorers. It was no surprise or was the fact that nobody scored more than 11 points for the Bearcats that day. On the biggest stages they lean on their star about as much as any team in the country.

Thankfully for coach Mick Cronin he has an ability to rise to the occasion. How he does will determine if the Bearcats can win again.

Coming into this one Cincinnati still has not lost at home this season.

When teams are built on defense and toughness it starts with defending their own homecourt and they have been perfect in that regard this season. However, despite winning all three games SU they have not covered in their last three at home.

Perhaps the pressure is getting too intense.

Spread Pick: Louisville -4
