Kentucky Wildcats vs. Wisconsin Badgers Preview

On the season Kentucky is 19-17-2 ATS and they have an O/U record of 15-23 and Wisconsin is 20-17-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 18-20.

This Final 4 game is being held at a neutral site at the Lucas Oil Stadium, in Indianapolis, Indiana

In their last games Kentucky beat Notre Dame 68-66 and Wisconsin beat Arizona 85-78.

Can Wisconsin ruin Kentucky’s perfect season? This is their 2nd straight trip to the Final 4, but they are a 5-point betting underdog facing undefeated Kentucky. These 2 teams met last season in the Final 4 with Kentucky beating Wisconsin 74-73.

Kentucky was given a scare in their Elite 8 game only beating Notre Dame by 2 points, but their D came up big down the stretch. Their defense ranks 2rd in the nation only giving up an average of 53.9 ppg.

It is no secret who the Wildcats have to worry about in the Wisconsin FW duo of 7-foot Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker. These guys can light it up and in the win over the Arizona they combined fro 54 points. However, Kentucky has a lot of size inside, but both of these guys can shoot the rock from the outside.

In the win over Arizona the Badgers shot 12/18 from beyond the 3-point arc and Dekker was 5/6 from deep.

Kentucky boasts a frontcourt duo of Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein, who will likely match up on Kaminski. Kaminsky only scored 8 points on 7 shots in last season’s Final 4 loss to Kentucky and he has to be more offensive minded in this game.

While both teams have a great frontcourt the backcourt edge may go to Kentucky with the Harrison twins of Andrew and Aaron, who came up clutch in the Notre Dame win burying 2 late free throws.

The Badgers need solid G play from Josh Gasser, who scored in double figures for the first time in 15 games in the win over Arizona. If the Badgers cannot hit the outside shot and Kentucky packs the paint Wisconsin is in trouble.

Kentucky has only covered the spread in 1 of their 4 NCAA Tournament games this season.

NCAAB Betting Trends

* Kentucky is 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 NCAA Tournament games.
* Kentucky is 2-0-2 ATS in their last 4 vs. Big Ten.
* Wisconsin is 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 NCAA Tournament games.
* Wisconsin is 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 non-conference games.
* Wisconsin is 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. SEC.

4* Cappers NCAAB Free Pick

While Kentucky narrowly beat Notre Dame and they only beat Wisconsin by 1 point in last season’s Final 4 I think they will overwhelm the Badgers in this game. Take Kentucky to win and cover and advance to the National Title game.
